on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the German Democratic Republic on cooperation in the field of tourism
On 30 April 1975, the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the German Democratic Republic on cooperation in the field of tourism was signed in Prague, which, according to Article 13, entered into force on the date of signature, i.e. on 30 April 1975.
The Czech text of the Agreement shall be published simultaneously.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the German Democratic Republic on cooperation in the field of tourism
Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and Government of the German Democratic Republic
with
Agreements for friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the German Democratic Republic, signed on 17 March 1967,
the Declaration on the consolidation of friendship and the deepening of brotherly cooperation between the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and the Single Socialist Party of Germany and between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the German Democratic Republic, signed on 17 October 1974,
in order to deepen relations in the field of tourism and to extend cooperation between them, they have decided to conclude this Agreement.
To this end, the Contracting Parties have appointed their Agents to:
Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
František Žurka, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic,
Government of the German Democratic Republic
Dr. Volkmar Winkler, Deputy Minister of Transport of the German Democratic Republic,
who, following the exchange of their full powers, found in good and proper form, have agreed as follows:
The Contracting Parties will develop cooperation in the field of tourism in general between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the German Democratic Republic.
I will support the Contracting Parties with constant close cooperation between the competent authorities of tourism of the two States as well as between other institutions, organisations and institutions involved in the development and implementation of tourism.
The Parties shall promote the development of mutual tourism and, to this end, shall promote and facilitate, in particular, tourist group and individual travel organised through travel agencies, cultural and sporting events, exhibitions, fairs and international meetings, as well as specialised thematic tours.
The Parties will continue to pay particular attention to the development of youth tourism.
The Parties shall promote cooperation in developing material and organisational assumptions for the development of tourism.
They will also promote appropriate forms of development of rail, road, air and river transport between the two countries.
Each Contracting Party shall take measures to improve the awareness of the possibility of travelling to the territory of the other State by appropriate promotion, information and recruitment activities, preferably in the language of the other State.
The Contracting Parties shall, through competent authorities and tourism organisations, assist in the recruitment of third-country tourists, in particular through joint offers of tourist services and promotion measures, both in third States and towards third-State citizens who are present in the territory of one State, to travel to another State.
The Parties shall promote the constant and systematic exchange of experience on all sections of domestic and foreign tourism of both States.
The Parties shall develop and promote the exchange of experts from different areas of tourism.
The Parties shall promote economic and scientific and technological cooperation in the field of tourism, monitoring the development of its materially technical base in both countries.
Each Contracting Party may establish a tourist information centre in the territory of the other State. The establishment and operation of such centres, their rights and obligations shall be governed by the legislation of the beneficiary State.
The Parties shall encourage each other to establish such centres.
Salaries resulting from the performance of this Agreements between the two States shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant payment agreement between the Contracting Parties and other contractual documents governing these issues.
The Parties shall enhance cooperation in international tourism organisations and conduct a permanent exchange of experience in the activities of such organisations.
The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties shall conclude protocols for the implementation of this Agreement; whenever they consider it necessary, they shall evaluate the implementation and progress of the tourism between them.
Changes and supplements to this The Agreement shall be drawn up in writing and subject to the agreement of both Parties.
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of its signature.
The Agreement shall be concluded for a period of five years and shall be deemed to be extended for a further year each time unless one of the Contracting Parties denies it in writing at the latest six months before the end of the relevant period of validity.
Written in Prague on 30 April 1975 in two copies, each in the Czech and German languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
