THE LAW
of 15 March 1996
amending the legislation relating to Act No. 92 / 1996 Coll., on Varieties, Seeds and Propagating Plants
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 61 / 1964 Coll., on the development of plant production, as amended by Act No. 132 / 1989 Coll. and Act No. 115 / 1995 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. Part one and part two are released.
Article 29 and Article 30 shall be deleted.
3. In Section 31, points (a), (b) and (ch) are deleted.
Points (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), (h) and (i) shall be renumbered as points (a) to (g).
4. in Paragraph 32, point (a) is deleted.
Points (b) to (e) shall be renumbered as points (a) to (d).
5. In Article 35, the words "with seeds, seed, including hop lard and spices, nurseries," and "forest and water management," are deleted.
Act No. 132 / 1989 Coll., on the protection of rights to new plant varieties and breeding of animals, is amended as follows:
Article 2 (a) reads as follows:
"(a) a variety of individuals belonging to the only lowest category of botanical grading, defined by the characteristics of a particular genotype or combination of genotypes, distinguished from other plant sets by the expression of at least one of these characteristics and reproducible without change,";
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on 1 July 1996.
