Decree on embossing and issuing of silver 50 crowns in memory of the third anniversary of the May Revolution

Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 24 April 1948
on embossing and issuing the silver 50 crowns in memory of the third anniversary of the May Revolution.
Under Articles 3, 2 and 5, paragraph 1 of the Act of 11 March 1948, No 39 Coll., on the tender of the Czechoslovak currency, I shall provide:
(1) The memory of the third anniversary of the May Revolution is 1,000,000 pieces of commemorative silver fifty crowns.
(2) The commemorative fifty crowns are derived from a mixture of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The gross weight of the commemorative 50 crowns is 10 g. During stamping, the deviation up and down is permitted in gross weight 10 / 1000 and in silver purity 5 / 1000. The diameter of the coin is 28 mm.
(3) On the face of fifty crowns is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic, which touches almost the top edge of the coin. Around the state emblem is the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA" in one row.
(4) On the reverse of the fifty crown is the figure of the victor returning from battle with the sword in the raised right hand; With his left hand, he holds a laurel branch above his head, dedicated to the edge of the sword. The winner, whose left arm is thrown over the flaming cloth, crosses the thorn thorn. In the lower left part, the coin's denomination is "50." In the right part of the coin area are the dates of the three-year May Revolution, in the middle horizontally inscription "5th MAY" which separates the years at the edge of "1945" and "1948." Under the left foot of the winner's character is the name of the original "O. SPANIEL."
(5) The edge of the coin is smooth and embossed with six-pointed stars and simple waves; On both sides of the coin is a flat frame.
The National Bank of Czechoslovakia will begin to issue silver silver coins at the main institute in Prague, at the Regional Institute for Slovakia in Bratislava and at all its filials on 5 May 1948.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
