of 2 October 1974
on the authorisation of amateur radio broadcasting stations
The Federal Ministry of Communications, in agreement with the Federal Ministry of Interior, provides in accordance with Section 22 of Act No. 110 / 1964 Coll., on Telecommunications:
Authorisation of amateur radio broadcasting stations
By granting permission to establish and operate amateur radio broadcasting stations pursuant to § 5 (2) of Act No. 110 / 1964 Coll., on Telecommunications, the authorities referred to in § 2 of this Decree are entrusted.
(1) The authorities granting authorisations for the establishment and operation of amateur radio broadcasting stations are:
a) in the Czech Socialist Republic, the Administration of Radiocommunications in Prague,
(b) in the Slovak Socialist Republic, the Administration of Radiocommunications in Bratislava.
(2) The authorities referred to in paragraph 1 grant authorisation to Czechoslovak nationals and organisations. Their competence shall be governed by the place where the required amateur radio broadcasting station is to be permanently established and operated (permanent station).
(3) The Federal Ministry of Communications grants permission to foreign nationals and organisations under reciprocal conditions.
(1) The permit for the establishment and operation of amateur radio broadcasting stations and the certificate of testing of amateur station operators granted under the existing regulations by the authorities of the Ministry of Interior remains valid for the period specified in the authorisation.
(2) Specific authorisations for the establishment and operation of amateur radio stations for young people remain in force.
Amendments to existing regulations
(1) Decree No. 111 / 1964 Coll., implementing the Telecommunications Act, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 3 (1) (c) reads as follows:
"(c) Administration of radiocommunications in Prague and Administration of radiocommunications in Bratislava, as regards broadcasting stations, including amateur stations."
2. Article 4 (5) reads as follows:
"(5) Amateur broadcasting stations may be operated only by persons who have demonstrated their competence and have a valid certificate according to the rules on testing of amateur station operators issued by the Federal Ministry of Communications."
(2) The Decree of the Central Management of Communications and the Ministry of Interior No. 23 / 1966 Coll., on the definition and possession of the concept of radio broadcasting stations is amended as follows:
In Paragraph 2 (1), the second sentence is deleted.
Efficacy
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
