Decree on the new tender of the Czechoslovak currency

Valid Effective from 20.10.1945
92.
Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 20 October 1945
the new currency tender.

ODDÍL I.

According to § 2, paragraph 1 of Decree of the President of the Republic of 19 October 1945, No. 91 Coll., on the renewal of the Czechoslovak currency, I declare a description of the new legal tender of the Czechoslovak currency.
1. Banknotes of 1000 CZK with date 16 May 1945.
The banknote is printed on an evergreen paper with continuous watermark, which creates a geometrical shadow ornament throughout the paper area: on a scythe built a square grating from lines in a view of brighter than the surrounding paper and in each square grating a uniform cross, darker surrounding paper. The thousand crown is 87 mm wide and 180 mm long.
The main printing patterns on the face and on the reverse occupy almost the entire area of the paper, except for the white edge on the cheek on the left, on the reverse on the right, so that the watermark is more clearly visible.
The main printing on the face is black and creates a wide rectangular decorative frame of field flowers and ears at the edges. In four corners of this framework, the large digits are "1000."
On the right in this decorative frame is in the circular medallion a picture of the girl's head of dark hair in the national costume, made according to the watercolour of Josef Mánes. On the right at the edge of the circular medallion is a small inscription: "J. MANES." On the left inside the decorative frame is the text in black capitals:
"THIS BANKNOCK OF PAYMENT
_
_
IN PRAGUE, OF 16 MAY 1945.
National Bank of Czechoslovakia
Dr. Jaroslav Heavenly
J. V. Mládek
Dr. L. Chmel
Counterfeiting is trivial. "
On the right and on the left at the lower edge of the decorative frame are the names of the graphic and engravings: "B. FOJTÁK" and "L. JIRKA."
The underprint of the cheek is ochre brown with a wide grey-green belt in the middle of the text. In the background of the text it creates a underprint of the rose with the number "1000" in the middle. There are stylised flowers around the rose. In the places of the girl's head, the underprint passes into a network of parallel, almost vertical lines.
There is a large brown, horizontally coloured figure "1000" on the expanded edge of the face and under it the symbol of the series of banknotes in red and red with the abbreviation "S.", two digits and a capital letter.
The large black digit "1000" with a brown, rectangular rose in the background and a six-digit serial number of the banknote in red above the extended edge.
The reverse of the banknote is made by a multiprinting process mainly in red and blue colours and is bounded by the main frame, bearing on a dark background with blue waves red stylized flowers with white waves. In four corners of this main frame, the large digits are "1000."
On the outside, the main frame is accompanied by a series of small rings, printed alternately in two different colours, along the inside there is a tape with small red inscriptions: "TISÍC KORUN."
Inside the main frame there is a large colorful circular rose on the left side, whose diverse diamond surfaces are separated by thin white waves. In the middle of the rose there is a large bright figure "1000."
In the right part of the inner area of the frame is the word "REPUBLIC" made by large bright letters, below which is a small state character of the republic in heraldic colors blue and red, with large blue digits "1000" on the left and the right and below the word
_
again in large bright letters with blue contour.
The extended white edge on the reverse carries the blue figure "1000" on the top on the rectangular surface of the tiny red and blue digits "1000," on the bottom red rose with the red figure "1000" on the dark background. Background and large digits are interwoven with small blue and white figures "1000."
2. The National Bank of Czechoslovakia.
The state is printed on white velvet paper of a special composition, which creates a watermark inside the print pattern at the right side (when viewed with the face side of the tender), well visible in the view against the light: the head of the young man facing into the space of the tender and almost from the profile, whose dark hair is decorated by a bright image of the laurel. The stateroom is 95 mm wide and 165 mm long. Smaller deviations are possible.
The main print patterns on the face and back are black and occupy almost the entire area of paper except the white edge, on all four sides approximately the same width.
On the face of the stateroom, the main print is enclosed on four sides with a narrow guilloch tape made of a white waveband, forming a different drawing on each side. This tape is accompanied by inside along both long sides and, on the left side, by a decorative belt, finely drawn, with elements of national ornaments (apples and leaves), bordered by parallel lines of various forces. In the middle of the burning part of this belt is a big dark inscription:
"THE REPUBLIC OF CZECH '.
Inside the frame there is an oval frame in the left part with an engraved portrait of King George of Poděbrad. The King's notional likeness is grafted freely according to the detail of the image of Mikolas Alš. There's a little light inscription on the inside of the oval: "SIRE FROM THE COLLECTION."
On the right of the portrait there is text in the middle of the tender:
"THIS STATE OF PAYMENT
_
_
Dr. Feierabend
MINISTER FINANCTION'
and along the inside of the criminal threat framework:
"Counterfeiting a state by law."
At the upper right corner, the serial marking is in two capitals and the six-digit state number with a comma after the third digit, all in black. The same marking shall be repeated down between the image and the text.
The underprint of the cheek creates a colorful ornament in the background of the text from stylized flowers in the background of the rose with white lines, all mainly in blue and red. Under the surrounding surface of the main printing is a subprinting of the parallel waveform network, oblique to the right-of-way, whose red colour in the middle passes smoothly into green on both sides, as well as a small sample of the alternating flowers and figures "1000 ', crossing at the three sides of the wavy frame, still along the top and bottom of the frame, the seven distinct ornamental elements of national and historical. This second underprint is in the middle of the tender blue color and passes to both sides fluently in brown. The portrait of George of Poděbrad covers the first underprint with a vertical net of parallel blue-green lines.
The main printing on the reverse at the left and right side is enclosed by a guilloch tape made of a white wavy sheet, upper and lower wide strips, in which square sections of white roses are alternated with ornately filled rectangles, which are placed in the middle of a painted star. The upper of these two belts is cut in the middle by the inscription:
"THE REPUBLIC OF CZECH '.
Inside the frame of the described belts is a landscape image of almost square shape: a view of Charles Týn Castle in Bohemia.
On the left and right side of the picture are the same lighter rectangular surfaces, to the height built. Of them, the left, slightly horizontally coloured, and the upper and lower-bearing digit "1000," leaves a brighter place in the middle to see the watermark. The right rectangular area carries in the middle a decorative oval label horizontally coloured with a large number "1000" in the middle. The label is inscribed in the background with an underprint rose made of waves of color brown and green.
The underprint of the entire area of the reverse is a net of parallel bellows pointing downwards to the right, coloured at the left and right side of the tender green, right from the vertical axis of the tender brown. In the label marked "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA ', the bellows of the underprint pass into stippling.
3. The state of 500 CZK, which is considered to be the National Bank of Czechoslovakia.
The main print patterns on both face and back are brown colours and occupy almost the entire area of paper except the white edge, on all four sides approximately the same width.
On the face of the stateroom, the main print is enclosed on four sides with a narrow guilloch tape from a variety of white cords. This tape is accompanied by a wider decorative belt with a distinctive light national ornament made of apples and flowers on a dark ground, along both sides and along the left vertical side.
In the left part of the main print there is an engraved portrait of Slovak poet and promoter Jan Kollár in the oval frame, displayed from three quarters. Below inside the oval frame is a small light inscription:
_
Under the oval pattern, the series is marked in two capitals and six digit statuses, divided by the third digit, all in black. The same series and number marking is repeated in the upper right corner, while the lower right corner has a bright figure of "500."
In the middle of the inner space of the main framework is the text:
"THE REPUBLIC OF CZECH REPUBLIC
_
_
CZECH LOCAL ';
under it then orange little state emblem of the republic amidst ornaments of flowers and roses in colors orange, green and brown, then lower the signature
"Dr. Feierabend
MINISTER FINANCIE'
and at the very bottom along the inside of the criminal threat framework:
"FALSOVANIA STICKERS SA PRESENT SUBSIDY AND LAW."
The underprint of the face shall be a net of parallel corrugated corrugated corrugated corrugated corrugated to the right of the downward facing, coloured in rainbow vertical stripes, on the sides of the green, left of the axis of the brown tender, and a fine flat sample of alternating flowers and figures "500." This sample is mainly orange, transforms to brown violet at the left and right side and creates a vertical net of brown purple lines at the positions of the Kollarova image.
The main printing on the reverse is also enclosed on all four sides by a narrow tape of the white waveband. This tape is accompanied on three inner sides, except for the vertical side on the left, by a wide decorative belt, carrying in all four corners a square rose of fine white wool without a digit. The square roses are then repeated in a wide band along three sides, followed by national ornaments, with the exception of the belt space above and below the watermark, where two large digits "500" are placed.
Inside the frame formed by the decorative belt, there is a space on the left for watermark, finely drawn in brown horizontal lines at the top and bottom, and enclosed on both vertical sides by tapes of styled laurel leaves.
In the right large part of the inner space of the frame is engraved landscape view of the part of the Massif of the High Tatras with the mountain Kriván in the background and with the part of the Strbske Ball in the foreground.
The underprint of the reverse is a net of parallel bellows, diagonally right down the course. The colour of the net passes in vertical rainbow stripes from the blue to the left at the watermark points in the yellow and green middle in the background of the Tater and again in the blue at the right side of the tender.
4. State of 100 CZK, which is considered to be the National Bank of Czechoslovakia.
The state is printed on white velvet paper without watermark. It is 83 mm wide and 153 mm long. Smaller deviations are possible.
The printing patterns on both face and back occupy almost the entire area of paper, except for the white edge, which is about the same width on all four sides.
The main print on the cheek is dark black and green. On all four sides, it is bounded by Guilloch's tapes of different width and different mesh of white wool.
Inside the frame of these tapes there is an oval frame in the left part, bearing the portrait of President Liberator Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. The serious and kind face of a deep thinker, dressed in a civil garment, is almost facing the audience. There is a small light inscription "T. G. MASARYK" down inside the oval frame. The oval frame bearing the portrait is on the outside of the left, at the top and below accompanied by styled national decoration from bright long leaves with two flowers in the corners. Beneath the upper corner flower is the bright figure "100."
The inner surface of the main frame is filled with dark green squares around the oval form, which further to the right turns into lighter diagonal lines which are completely lost around the text.
In the right part of the interior of the main frame there is a light inscription at the top:
"REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSPACE"
and below it on the right, a series designation in two capitals and a six-digit state number with a comma after the third digit, all in black; lower is placed in black the finished text:
"THIS STATE OF PAYMENT"
below that in large bright letters in the square area label:
"STO KORUN"
and even lower
"THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Dr. Feierabend
MINISTER FINANCE '.
There is a criminal threat in the lower right corner:
"Counterfeiting a state by law."
In the lower part between the image and the text, the black serial marking and the stateplate numbers are repeated again, but smaller types and figures than the higher one.
The underprint of the face, which creates a tulip ornament in the background of the text green and orange, passes below the other surface of the main printing in diagonal green waveform to the right, as well as in the irregular horizontal waveform of the colour of olive green and grey blue, passing at the positions of the portrait in the grey blue net of vertical lines.
On the reverse of the statuette is the main printing of the colour of olive black green and is enclosed on almost all sides by a narrow band of tiny leaves, except for the middle part of the lower side, which is lined with a wider band of white wavy sheets, bearing a light inscription
"THE REPUBLIC OF CZECH '.
The larger part of the inner area of the frame occupies a rectangular, centrally located landscape image: a view of the part of Hradčan in Prague with a part of the Charles Bridge over Vltava and with small towers in the foreground. On the left and on the right side of the picture Hradčan are large oblong, to the height built decorative area with a filling of parts of the roses, carrying in the middle large digits "100." Around the digits, the roses have dark cords, then white cords on a dark background; The drawing of these white roses is somewhat different in the left and right fillings.
The underprint of the reverse is a net of parallel bellows, running as diagonally right down. Under the picture Hradčan are these waves of yellow and orange, and this color passes smoothly to the right and left below the guilloch areas in olive green.
5. State of 100 CZK with date of 16 May 1945, which is considered to be the National Bank of Czechoslovakia.
The stateroom is printed on a velvet paper of a special composition with continuous watermark, which creates a geometric shadow ornament over the whole area: on a scythe built square grating from lines in a view of brighter than the surrounding paper and in each square grating a uniform cross, darker surrounding paper. The stateroom is 76 mm wide and 146 mm long.
The printing patterns on both face and back occupy almost the entire area of paper, with the exception of the white edge, on all four sides approximately the same width.
