on schools in nature
The Ministry of Education of the Czech Socialist Republic provides pursuant to § 45 paragraph 2 of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 76 / 1978 Coll., on educational establishments, and pursuant to § 14 paragraph 2 (a) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 77 / 1978 Coll., on State Administration in Education:
Sending children and pupils to schools in nature
(1) Children from all types of nursery schools, pupils from the second to fourth year of primary school, pupils from the fourth to eighth year of primary school for young people requiring special care and basic nine-year-olds requiring special care, and pupils from special schools. Teachers from schools at health institutions are not sent to school in nature.
(2) From the areas in which healthy development of the child organism is particularly threatened, (2) in each school year, all children from kindergarten and all pupils from schools referred to in § 1 (1) (hereinafter referred to as "pupils") are sent to school in nature. All pupils of those schools and nursery schools from the municipalities of Chomutov, Most, Teplice and Ústí nad Labem, as set out in the Annex, shall be broadcast twice in each school year, one of which in winter.
(3) Pupils of parent schools shall be sent to school in nature once during the course of attendance at the kindergarten, pupils of schools referred to in Article 1 (1) shall be sent to school in nature once during compulsory education.
(4) The stay of pupils from school schools in nature lasts 14 days, the stay of pupils from schools referred to in § 1 (1) in school in nature lasts twenty-one days. The stay of pupils from areas where healthy development of the child organism is particularly threatened may be extended by up to seven days under local conditions.
(5) Parents or other legal representatives (hereinafter referred to as "legal representatives") must agree to the sending of a pupil to school in nature and to the amount of the allowance (Section 6 (4)). Pupils whose state of health, according to the school physician's opinion, may be at risk of being at school in nature and pupils who would endanger the health of other pupils, cannot be sent to school in nature.
(6) If a student does not attend a school in nature, the principal of the sending school will provide for his teaching in another school class.
Organisation of schools in nature
(1) Schools in nature are located
(a) in premises permanently serving this mission, managed by national committees;
(b) in premises leased, serving this mission temporarily.
(2) The transmission and residence of pupils in schools in nature is provided by the Regional National Committee 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "operator"). The hygiene requirements shall be laid down in a separate Regulation. 2)
(3) Health supervision of the school in nature is carried out by the district institution of national health in whose district the school is located.
(4) Control of school management in nature is provided by the operator.
(5) For serious family reasons, an official sent to school in nature may agree to the residence of the child of that worker in the school in nature even if this child is not a pupil of the class.
Organisation of educational activities
(1) Education activities in schools in nature are governed by the regulations applicable to the schools from which pupils have been seconded.
(2) The activity of pupils outside the teaching period focuses mainly on physical, tourist and recreational activities organised according to school conditions in nature.
(3) Visits of legal representatives at school in nature will be arranged by the director of the sending school before leaving for school in nature.
Meals
(1) The diet of pupils in schools in the wild and of workers when they eat in the wild is governed by a special regulation.4)
(2) The financial standard for the purchase of food at school in nature per pupil and per day is at retail prices:

(3) Financial standard for the purchase of food at school in nature for pupils broadcast from North Bohemia counties, from Sokolov district and from the capital city of Prague to pupil and the day is made at retail prices:

School management, fees
(1) All school expenditure in nature will be provided by the operator in his budget.
(2) Wages of workers, other formalities provided to workers under labour law and expenditure in kind for schools in nature are borne by the operator.
(3) The operator shall reimburse school workers for expenditure up to the amount of the reimbursement of travel expenses provided under special rules. 5)
(4) When sending pupils of schools referred to in § 1 (1), the operator shall grant a contribution of 10 Kds per pupil per day to cover actual expenditure. The difference between the contribution provided by the operator and the actual expenditure shall be paid by the legal representatives of the pupils by the contribution they pay within the agreed period prior to the secondment of the pupils to school in nature.
(5) When sending pupils to schools in the wild from areas in which healthy development of the child organism is particularly threatened (§ 1 (2)), the operator shall cover all expenditure. The legal representatives of pupils contribute 5 CZK per pupil per day to cover the cost of meals.
(6) The sending school may agree with the legal representatives of the pupils before sending pupils to school in nature to ensure the possible removal of the sick student, who must leave the school in nature early on the doctor's proposal.
Final provision
The Directives of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic of 15 March 1956 No 6 678 / 56A I / 3 on the transitional organisation of schools in nature published in the Bulletin of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic No 1956, p. 99 as amended by Decree No 20 711 / 64- I / 3 of 22 July 1964 published in the Bulletin of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic No 1964, p. 273.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 September 1979.
