DECLARATION
of 3 January 2008
on the issue of commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 100th anniversary of the death of Josef Hlavka
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On the 100th anniversary of the death of architect, builder and benefactor Josef Hálovka, commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns") are issued. The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of the two-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and its strength 2,2 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal version is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special version is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13 g *." In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%.
(1) On the face of two hundred crowns is the facade of the Earth's obstetrics in Prague, which is the work of Josef Hlavka. Above it is a bird wing as a symbol of flight and protection. In the upper and right edges of the two hundred crown, the name of the state is "CZECH REPUBLIC." At the left edge of the two hundred koruna next to the face of the Earth Maternity Hospital in Prague, the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation of the money unit is "200 CZK." The mark of the mint which struck the two hundred crown is placed at the left edge of the two hundred crown.
(2) On the back of the two hundred crown is a portrait of Josef Hlavka. At the left edge of the two hundred crown is the unclosed copy "JOSEF HLAVKA" and at the right edge of the two hundred crown are the years "1908 - 2008." The author of the design of the two hundred crown is Vojtěch Dostál, DiS., whose initials formed by the inverted letter "D" are located at the right edge of the two hundred crown behind the last number of the year "2008."
This Decree enters into force on 5 March 2008.
