Slovak National Council
of 28 January 1964
on the Committee of the Slovak National Tourism Council
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
A Committee of the Slovak National Tourism Council (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) is hereby established. The Committee is the body of the Slovak National Council and the regional authority of the Government Committee on Tourism.
(1) The Committee shall carry out in particular the following tasks in the tourism sector in Slovakia:
- participate in the organisation and management of tourism;
- approve the proposal for a tourism development plan and ensure that it is implemented;
- coordinate the activities of the relevant delegates of the Slovak National Council on the tourism sector;
- issue binding measures within its scope.
(2) In carrying out its tasks, the Committee shall follow the guidelines and resolutions of the Bureau of the Slovak National Council and the Government Committee on Tourism.
The President and the members of the Committee shall be appointed and removed by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
A more detailed definition of the responsibilities and activities of the Committee shall be laid down in a statute approved by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
