Budget Act 1959
of 20 February 1959
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
§ 1
Tasks of the State Budget for 1959
The task of the State Budget for 1959 is to secure the necessary funds for further economic and cultural development of the Republic on the basis of the development of the creative activity of workers in accordance with the State Plan for the Development of the National Economy and thus contribute to the completion of socialist construction. The new methods of management, planning and financing are intended to contribute to ensuring that all businesses and national committees perform their tasks towards society, maximise their own resources and make the most effective use of all resources.
§ 2
Determination of State Budget
(1) The total revenue of the state budget is set at 96 230 649 000 CZK, the total expenditure is fixed at 95 913 411 000 CZK, resulting in a surplus of 317 238 000 CZK. within the national budget, the revenue for the budget of Slovakia is set at CZK 15 667 896 000 and the expenditure is set at CZK 17 525 079 000.
(2) The national budget includes the budgets of the national committees, the revenue and expenditure of which amount to 33 015 786 000 CZK.
§ 3
This Law shall take effect from 1 January 1959; by the Minister for Finance and other members of the Government.
