GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 21 November 1966
on the award of the honorary badge "For the Protection of the Borders of the CSSR"
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic orders in accordance with § 9 paragraph 4 of Act No. 62 / 1962 Coll., on the Lease of Honours:
The Honorary Badge "For the Protection of the Borders of the CSSR" established by Government Decree No. 60 / 1962 Coll. is awarded to members of the Armed Corps of the Ministry of the Interior, to soldiers, to members of the Border Guard and Public Security Assistance Guard and to other citizens who have been particularly deserving in ensuring the protection of state borders, consistently achieve such results as to set an example for others or who have shown exceptional dedication or courage.
The Honorary Badge "For the Protection of the Borders of the CSSR" is awarded by the Minister of Interior; It shall be provided by the Minister for National Defence to the soldiers and members of the Border Guard. It shall be handed over by the competent Minister or by an official authorised by him. The bearer of an honorary badge will also receive a deed of award.
Government Order No. 60 / 1962 Coll., on the award of the Honorary Badge "For the Protection of the Borders of the CSSR 'is hereby repealed.
This Government Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
