THE LAW
of 28 March 1990
amending and supplementing the Civil Code
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
Čl. I
Civil Code No. 40 / 1964 Coll., as amended by Act No. 58 / 1969 Coll., Act No. 131 / 1982 Coll. (Full version No. 70 / 1983 Coll.) and Act No. 188 / 1988 Coll., are amended as follows:

„§ 13
(1) In particular, a citizen has the right to seek to waive unauthorised interference in the right to the protection of his or her personality, to remove the consequences of such interference and to give him adequate satisfaction.
(2) In the absence of sufficient satisfaction under paragraph 1, in particular because the dignity of the citizen or his seriousness in society has been greatly reduced, the citizen shall also have the right to compensation for non-property damage in cash.
(3) The amount of the compensation referred to in paragraph 2 shall be determined by the court taking into account the seriousness of the damage suffered and the circumstances in which the infringement occurred. "
Čl. II
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
