Federal Ministry of Technical and Investment Development
of 26 July 1976
on product information for construction parts
The Federal Ministry of Technical and Investment Development provides, pursuant to Section 130 of Act No. 50 / 1976 Coll., on Territorial Planning and Construction Regulations (Construction Act) in agreement with the Ministry of Construction and Technology of the Czech Socialist Republic, the Ministry of Construction and Technology of the Slovak Socialist Republic and the Federal Statistical Office:
§ 1
Basic provisions
(1) Information on construction works products 1) ("products") is part of the system of selected construction information; they are published in the product catalogue, which forms a separate information block of the Czechoslovak Construction Catalogue, published by the Czechoslovak Centre of Construction and Architecture, Prague (hereinafter referred to as the Centre).
(2) Information on products contains basic data on individual products and on organisations producing, importing or supplying them.
(3) Product information is provided to the Centre by organisations producing or importing it (hereinafter referred to as "producers and importers") and supplemented by information obtained from other organisations and bodies.
(4) Product information is also a certificate of suitability for new products for construction parts issued and sent by the Centre's state services for publication in the product catalogue.2)
§ 2
Obligations of the publisher of the product catalogue
(1) The Centre, as the publisher of the product catalogue, collects, processes, evaluates and disseminates product information. To that end, in particular:
(a) carry out the selection of the products and their details for inclusion in the product catalogue, determine the form and content of the catalogue sheets and the documents for their processing;
(b) process, sort and redact catalogue sheets;
(c) publish in the product catalogue the selected information and data on the products, the certificate of suitability of the products and the document (s) of cancellation of those certificates.
(2) The choice of products to be included in the product catalogue is governed, in particular, by the dissemination of their applicability, the relevance and usefulness of their information to the construction participants.
(3) The selection of individual product data to be included in the product catalogue shall be made in particular according to whether the data:
(a) provide a basis for assessing the suitability of the products for certain uses;
(b) contain information and documentation for the processing of preparatory and project documentation;
(c) are suitable for publication as project documents.
§ 3
Obligations of manufacturers and importers
(1) Manufacturers and importers are required to the Product Catalogue Centre
(a) provide, on 1 October each year, information on the product range to be supplied in the following year and its changes (against the previous year - during the year),
(b) process the data on individual products selected to be included in the product catalogue as supporting documents for the catalogue sheets in the range and form specified by the Centre and transmit them at least 30 days before the product is put into circulation;
(c) to notify without delay any changes to the particulars of their products published in the product catalogue.
(2) Manufacturers and importers are responsible for the correctness and up-to-date of the data sent for publication in the product catalogue.
§ 4
Transitional and final provisions
(1) Manufacturers and importers shall send the Centre data on their current product range (3) within 2 months of the date of application of this Decree.
(2) The Centre shall select the products to be included in the product catalogue and request data on each selected product within 2 months of receiving the data sent pursuant to the previous paragraph.
(3) Manufacturers and importers shall process and transmit to the Centre the data relating to each selected product within a reasonable time, but not later than 4 months after their request.
§ 5
This decree shall take effect on 1 October 1976.
