DECLARATION
of 16 March 2017
amending Decree No 343 / 2014 Coll., on Vehicle Registration, as amended
The Ministry of Transport provides, pursuant to § 91 (2) of Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the conditions of the operation of vehicles on the road and amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the liability insurance for damage caused by the operation of the vehicle and on the amendment of certain related laws (Act on the insurance of liability from the operation of the vehicle), as amended by Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll., as amended by Act No. 103 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 411 / 2005 Coll., Act No. 226 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 170 / 2007 Coll., Act No. 297 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 152 / 2011 Coll. and Act No. 239 / 2013 Coll., for the implementation of Section 7 (6), Section 7b (6):
Annex No 27 to Decree No 343 / 2014 Coll., on Vehicle Registration, as amended by Decree No 10 / 2017 Coll., reads as follows:
"Annex No 27 to Decree No 343 / 2014 Coll.
Technical specification of the registration mark protection element, the location of the registration mark protection element on the registration plate plate and the representation of the registration mark protection element on the registration plate plate
Size and location of holographic self-destructive sticker
for the dimensions of the registration marks:
- 520 x 110 mm
- 340 x 200 mm
- 280 x 200 mm
- 320 x 160 mm
The protective element is placed at the centre of the bottom projection of a circular shape 33,5 mm in diameter
In the case that the registration mark has only one cross-section, the protective element - a holographic self-destructive sticker, is placed in the upper right half of this table. This applies to the dimensions of registration marks 200 x 160 mm.
In the case that the registration mark does not have a circular profile, the protective element - a holographic self-destructive sticker, is placed in the upper right half of this table. This applies to the dimensions of registration marks 80 x 110 mm.

Protective element - Rectangle with letters CZ
Reflecting film on the plate with registration mark has a protective element in its structure
The colour of the letters CZ is the same as that of the reflective film on the plate with the registration mark. The space in the rectangle, around the letters CZ, is of different colour than the colour of the reflective foil on the plate with registration mark.
The protective element is made in such a way as not to break the top layer of the reflective film.
The protective element does not reduce the values of the reflexibility of the registration mark as set out in Annex 26 to this Decree.
The protective element cannot be removed without permanent damage to the reflective film.
