DECLARATION
Ministry of Interior
of 31 March 2000
determining the countries whose nationals may reside in the transit area of an international airport in the Czech Republic only on the basis of an airport visa issued
The Ministry of Interior provides pursuant to § 182 (1) (b) of Act No. 326 / 1999 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic and on the amendment of certain laws:
(1) Only nationals of the following States may reside in the transit area of an international airport within the territory of the Czech Republic on the basis of an airport visa granted:
(a) the People's Republic of Bangladesh,
(b) the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,
(c) the Republic of Ghana,
(d) the Republic of Iraq;
(e) the Islamic Republic of Iran,
(f) Islamic State of Afghanistan,
(g) the Democratic Republic of the Congo,
(h) the Republic of Lebanon,
(i) the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
(j) the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,
(k) the Republic of Somalia,
(l) the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka,
(m) State of Eritrea,
(n) Syrian Arab Republic.
(2) In the transit area of an international airport within the territory of the Czech Republic, aliens who are shown by a travel document from one of the States referred to in paragraph 1 may continue to stay only on the basis of an airport visa issued.
Paragraph 1 shall not apply to aliens who are shown by valid evidence of long-term or permanent residence granted by the Principality of Andorra, Japan, Canada, the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino, the Swiss Confederation or the United States of America.
This Decree shall take effect on 15 May 2000.
