on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Mongolia on the mutual recognition of the equivalence of evidence of education and the award of scientific degrees issued in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and in the People's Republic of Mongolia
On 27 May 1988, the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Mongolia on the mutual recognition of the equivalence of evidence of education and the award of scientific degrees, issued in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of Mongolia, was signed in Ulanbatar. The Agreement entered into force on 30 March 1989 on the basis of Article 8 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Mongolian People's Republic on the mutual recognition of the equivalence of evidence of education and the award of scientific degrees issued in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and in the Mongolian People's Republic
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of Mongolia wish to further develop cooperation in the field of science and education in the area of mutual recognition of the equivalence of evidence of education and evidence of award of scientific degrees
agree as follows:
The Certificate of Graduate or Similar Trial, issued in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic after completion of the studies at Gymnasium, Secondary Vocational Schools, Secondary Vocational Schools and Conservatory Schools, and in the Mongol People's Republic after completion of the studies at secondary vocational schools and secondary technical schools, are recognised as equivalent; these documents confirm that their holders have received an education to the extent required in both States for university studies.
Education documents, issued after completion of at least four years of study at universities in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Mongolian People's Republic, are recognised as equivalent; Such documents confirm that their holders have received higher education to the extent required in both States for admission to the training of new scientific staff in accordance with the laws of the Contracting Parties.
Evidence of the award of scientific degrees to the "candidate of science 'and" doctor of science', published in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and in the Mongolian People's Republic, is recognised as equivalent.
Evidence of the award of scientific or artistic degrees "professor" and "professor," issued in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and in the Mongolian People's Republic, is recognised as equivalent.
The competent authorities of the Contracting Parties shall transmit to each other the models and tables of the types of documents referred to in this Agreement, exchange the systems of study courses in universities as well as the branches of the education of new researchers, and inform each other of changes in their educational systems.
The Parties shall develop cooperation under this Agreement on the basis of applicable national law.
Amendments and additions to this Agreement shall be agreed in writing by the Parties and shall enter into force on the date of the exchange of notes on their approval under the constitutional provisions of the Parties.
This Agreement shall be subject to approval under the constitutional provisions of the Contracting Parties and shall enter into force on the date of the exchange of notes on such approval.
This Agreement shall be concluded for an indefinite period. Each Party may be denounced in writing with one year notice.
Dane in Ulanbátar on 27 May 1988 in duplicate, each in the Czech, Mongolian and Russian languages. In case of differences in interpretation, the Russian text is decisive.
