establishing certain folk courts and defining their responsibilities
The Minister of Justice hereby orders pursuant to § 14 No 2 of Act No. 66 / 1952 Coll., on the organisation of courts:
They are established
(a) the People's Court of Praha- North, based in Prague and with jurisdiction for the district district of the National Committee for Prague-North,
b) the People's Court of Praha- west, based in Prague and with jurisdiction for the district district of the National Committee for Prague-West,
(c) the People's Court in the District of the District of Prague-East,
(d) the People's Court of Brno-rural areas located in Brno and with jurisdiction for the territorial district of the District National Committee in Brno.
(1) The People's Court of Criminal Procedure in Prague and the People's Court of Civil Procedure in Prague are, in future, responsible only for the territorial districts of all the district national committees in Prague.
(2) The People's Court of Criminal Procedure in Brno and the People's Court of Civil Procedure in Brno shall, in future, exercise jurisdiction for the territorial district of the Municipal National Committee in Brno.
The provisions of Sections 1 and 2 amend the provisions of Sections 1 (2) (a), (b) and (k) of the Order of the Minister of Justice No 22 / 1954 Coll., laying down the registered offices and districts of the People's Courts and the registered offices and districts of the Regional Courts.
(1) The People's Court in Cheb continues to exercise jurisdiction over the territorial districts of the Municipal National Committee in Františkova Lazne and the Regional National Committee in Cheb.
(2) The People's Court in Mariánské Lázně continues to exercise jurisdiction over the territorial districts of the Municipal National Committee in Mariánské Lázně and the District National Committee in Mariánské Lázně.
(3) The People's Court in Piestany continues to exercise jurisdiction over the territorial districts of the Municipal National Committee in Piestany and the District National Committee in Piestany.
The jurisdiction of the court at the seat of the Regional Court provided for in Paragraph 395 (2) of the Civil Code shall be exercised by:
(a) in the district of the Regional Court in Prague:
the People's Court of Civilian in Prague for its Territorial District; and
People's Court Praha- West in Prague for Territorial Circuits of other People's Courts,
(b) in the district of the Regional Court in Brno:
People's court in Brno for the territorial districts of all people's courts.
This Regulation shall apply from 1 January 1959.
