Regulation on certain measures in horse breeding

Government Regulation
of 27 May 1947
concerning certain measures in horse keeping.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders pursuant to § 16, paragraph 1 of the Act of 25 October 1946, No 192 Coll., on a two-year economic plan:
§ 1.
In 1947 and 1948, only a number of mare animals which are proportional to the livestock production provided for by the two-year economic plan will be allowed to be artificially sown. The number of fillies per county shall be determined by the Ministry of Agriculture, Slovakia, after the comments of the authorities of agriculture and land reform, after the hearing of the Unified Union of Farmers.
§ 2.
Accepted, artificially sewn, can only be healthy mare,
(a) entered in breeding books (§ § 25 to 29 of the Decree of 14 June 1928, No 83 Coll., on the breeding of horses); or
(b) selected and drawn up on the classification lists provided for in Article 24 of the Act No. 83 / 1928 Coll., Slovakia, in the counties in which these routes have not been carried out, as well as the mare with only a certificate of health inspection carried out, carried out in accordance with the directives issued by the Agriculture and Land Reform Board.
§ 3.
(1) The mare may be admitted, artificially sewn, only in the district of the national committee in which they have their permanent post (housing). Cliffs whose permanent habitat (housing) is in Slovakia may be admitted, after artificially sewn, only in Slovakia. Admission or artificial trimming of mare with permanent station (housing) in a foreign state is prohibited in the territory of the Czechoslovak Republic.
(2) Exemptions from the provisions of paragraph 1 may, where justified, be authorised by the Ministry of Agriculture; derogations from the provisions of paragraph 1, second sentence, shall be permitted by the Ministry of Agriculture, after having expressed the responsibility for agriculture and land reform.
§ 4.
(1) In an agreement with the Ministry of Health in the Official Journal of the Republic of Czechoslovakia, the Ministry of Agriculture will declare the Directive on artificial trimming of fillies.
(2) The animal health rules on the control of stallion disease remain unaffected.
§ 5.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; they shall be implemented by the Minister for Agriculture in agreement with the Ministers involved.
