GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 15 March 2020
on the occupation of soldiers in active duty and members of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic to carry out the tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic in connection with the outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
The Government orders pursuant to § 22 paragraphs 1 and 2 of Act No. 273 / 2008 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, and pursuant to Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, as amended:
(1) In order to carry out the tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic in ensuring internal order and security in order to protect the lives, health and property of persons and to implement security measures related to the outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a maximum of 5000 soldiers in active duty and 300 members of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic are called.
(2) The employment referred to in paragraph 1 shall end on the date on which the emergency situation declared on 26 February 2021 expires.
Soldiers in active service and members of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic carry out the duties imposed with weapons and means of enforcement to the extent set out in Section 4.
The Minister of Defence shall designate soldiers in active service, including military equipment and equipment, to carry out the tasks referred to in Section 1. The Minister of Finance will appoint members of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, including technology and equipment, to carry out the tasks referred to in § 1.
Soldiers in active service and members of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic called to perform the tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic pursuant to § 1 have the authority and duties of a member of the Police of the Czech Republic to the extent set out in § 2, 3, 9, 10 to 13, 18, 20, 24 to 27, 34 to 37, 40 to 43, 48 to 59, 62, 63, 93, 110, 111, 114 and § 115 of Act No. 273 / 2008 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, as amended.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
