amending and supplementing Act No. 50 / 1976 Coll., on Territorial Planning and Construction Regulations (Construction Act), as amended, and amending and supplementing certain other laws
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:

1. In Annex 2, GROUP 213: Construction in trade:
Project activity under construction
(a) in column 2, the words "in the relevant field" shall be inserted after the words "Authorization";
(b) in column 3 the text reads: "§ 46a of Act No. 50 / 1976 Coll., on Territorial Planning and Construction Regulations (Construction Act), as amended";
Implementation of buildings, including their changes, maintenance and disposal
(a) the name of the trade is as follows: "Implementation, modification and disposal of the buildings,"
(b) in column 3 the text reads: "Article 44 of Act No. 50 / 1976 Coll., on Territorial Planning and Construction Regulations (Construction Act), as amended."
2. In Annex 2, GROUP 213: Construction is added:

Act No. 18 / 1997 Coll., on the Peaceful Use of Nuclear Energy and Ionizing Radiation (Atomic Law) and on the Amendment and Addition of Certain Laws, is amended and supplemented as follows:
1. Paragraph 6 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) Measures to reduce natural exposure, other than radon, need not be taken if such exposure cannot be reduced by individuals to an extent justified by the benefits above the cost of the measure. ';
2. In Article 6, the following paragraphs 3 and 4 are inserted after paragraph 2:
"(3) Measures to reduce natural exposure due to the presence of radon and its conversion products in the internal air of buildings shall be implemented when the construction is located on a building site outside a low-radon-risk area. The conditions shall be laid down by the construction office in the decision on the location of the construction or in the building permit. When using a building with a living space where the indicative values laid down in the implementing regulation are exceeded, the construction office may order the necessary modifications to the construction site for reasons of hygiene - a threat to the health of the users of the building - if this is in the public interest.
(4) The Implementing Regulation lays down criteria for determining the low radon risk of building land and criteria for assessing the benefits of measures to reduce natural exposure and the indicative value for deciding on such measures, including indicative exposure values for persons as a result of the presence of radon and products of its transformation in the internal air of construction. ';
Paragraph 3 shall become paragraph 5.
The President of the Chamber of Deputies is hereby authorised to publish in the Collection of Laws the full text of Act No. 50 / 1976 Coll., on Territorial Planning and Construction Regulations (Construction Act), as is apparent from the later regulations.
This Act shall take effect on 1 July 1998.
