Minister for Finance
of 26 July 1965
on the issue of the commemorative silver ten crowns for the 50th anniversary of the burning of Master Jan HUSA
The Minister of Finance declares pursuant to § 2 (2) of Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) On the occasion of the opening of the international symposium "Symposium hussianum pragense" in August 1965, the 55th anniversary of the burning of Master Jan Hus is the commemorative silver ten crown.
(2) The silver 10krones are driven by an alloy of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The gross weight of the 10 crown is 12 g. In the case of stamping, the deviation up and down is allowed in gross weight 10 / 1000 and in silver content 5 / 1000. The diameter of the 10 crown is 30 mm, its edge is smooth with the inscription "550 years of burning by M. JANA HUSA," which is made by influence.
(3) On the face of the commemorative silver ten crown is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, around it the inscription "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC" and below as a distribution sign of the head of the Hussite pallet. The mark of the author of the academic sculptor Zdeněk Kolářský "ZK" is written into the Hussite's thumb.
(4) On the back of the commemorative silver ten crown is displayed the bust (right profile) of Master Jan HUSA in period clothing and headgear. The appearance of Master Jan HUSA, in line with historical sources, emphasizes, in particular, the militancy and purpose of the ideologist of the future social revolution and undermines it during the peak period of its creative forces. On the edge of the unclosed circle is the inscription "MISTER JAN HUS 1415-1965." The value designation "Kčs 10" is in the middle of the bottom. The name of the author of Professor Karl Lidický, a well-deserved artist, laureate of the state prize and bearer of the Order of the Republic "K Lidický" is placed lower left than the value designation.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
