THE LAW
of 5 February 2002
amending Act No. 364 / 2000 Coll., repealing the Fund of Children and Youth and amending certain laws
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 364 / 2000 Coll., on the abolition of the Fund of Children and Youth and on amendments to certain laws, is amended as follows:
1. in Article I (5), the following point (d) is inserted after point (c):
"(d) the part of the assets to be managed by the Fund which had not been transferred under (b) or (c) before 1 March 2002 shall be transferred free of charge to the civil associations of children and youth, civil associations dealing with physical and sports, schools and educational establishments, or local authorities, in accordance with the resolution of the Chamber of Deputies adopted on a proposal from the Government, provided that those persons have requested the liquidator to transfer the property by 30 April 2002. To that end, the liquidator shall issue a new selection procedure by 31 March 2002. The conditions for the selection procedure shall be laid down by the Government by a resolution. For the remaining part of the assets to which the Fund belongs, point (c) shall apply mutatis mutandis after the decision of the Chamber of Deputies on free transfers, '.
Points (d) to (g) shall be renumbered as points (e) to (h).
2. in Article I, points 6 and 11, "31 December 2002" is replaced by "31 December 2003" and "1 January 2003" by "1 January 2004."
3. In Article VI, "2003 'is replaced by" 2004'.
Transitional provisions
1. In the event that the liquidator entered into a contract before 1 March 2002 on the transfer of property in accordance with Article I (5) (c) of Act No 364 / 2000 Coll., on the abolition of the Fund of Children and Youth and on amendments to certain laws, the provisions of the existing legislation shall apply as regards such contracts.
2. Public competitions announced by the liquidator in accordance with Article I (5) (c) of Act No 364 / 2000 Coll., on the abolition of the Children's and Youth Fund and on the amendment of certain laws, on the basis of which no contract was concluded before 1 March 2002 on the transfer of the property of the Children's and Youth Fund in liquidation, and on the property referred to in Article I (5) (d) of Act No 364 / 2000 Coll. Even this law, the liquidator will cancel without undue delay.
This Law shall take effect on 1 March 2002.
