DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of Finance
of 29 June 1989
on the issue of banknotes of 100 CZK
Federal Ministry of Finance pursuant to Article 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on Money Reform, in an agreement with the State Bank of Czechoslovakia declares:
§ 1
On 1 October 1989, the National Bank of Czechoslovakia banknotes shall be issued every 100 CZK of the model 1989.
§ 2
(1) The bill of model 1989 (hereinafter referred to as "the banknote") is 67 mm wide and 147 mm long. It is printed on yellowish paper with continuous dark-coloured watermark and protective blue and red fibres stored in paper.
(2) The watermark creates horizontal rows of alternating leaves and five-pointed stars across the entire surface of the paper.
(3) The face side and the reverse side of the banknote are provided with undercoloured protective signatures throughout the whole area.
(4) On the face of the banknote, the main printing is made by a three-colour rotogravure in three shades of green. The face area is divided into three identical fields; by finishing the main printing about 4 mm before the cut of the banknote, a hint of framing is created in the middle and right field. The bulk of the middle and right field is supported by a fine dot grid.
In the left-hand field, there is a large dark numerical indication of the value "100," situated in the direction of the shorter side of the banknote. On its background is an irregular dark-haired guilloche belt resembling a banner. At the bottom of the left field are four tactile geometrical characters for the blind performed in the rotogravure.
The upper part of the middle field is a state emblem in red. Under the state emblem, it's in a red, yellow and green starfish. Its center creates a five-pointed red star. Top left is the value number "100" in yellow. Around the starfish and the state emblem are irregular waves, the lower part closes the dark-haired guilloche belt.
Under the state emblem on the common vertical are the texts
"BANKNOCK OF THE STATE BANK OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC OF THE CORUNE OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC 1989"
Between the left and the middle field, there is a vertical threat of "Counterfeiting BANKNOTES TROUBLE BY LAW."
In the right field, the portrait of Clement Gottwald dominates. The name "KLEMENT GOTTWALD" and the years of birth and death "1896-1953" are to the right of the portrait. In the lower part there is a bright value number "100." Above it are in five rows in the relief execution of the lipa smear.
The name of the author of the design "A. BRUNO DEL." (proposed), the name of the engraver "B. ŠNEIDER SC." (engraved), is printed in small letters in the hint of the frame below. in the middle is the name of the printer "STATE PRESCRIBILITY PRAHA."
The denomination of the series of banknotes in one capital letter of the alphabet and a two-digit number is placed at the top of the left field, the six-digit serial number is above the characters for the blind bottom. In the right-hand field, the marking of the series and serial number shall be repeated in the line above the portrait. The series and serial numbers are printed in red.
(5) On the back of the banknote, the main printing is made by a three-colour rotogravure in three shades of green. The area is divided into two identical fields, left with a hint of framing.
In the left field there is a panorama of Prague Castle and part of the Malá Strana with bridge towers and St. Nicholas Temple. On the bottom right there are roses in green and yellow. On the top left is a dark value number "100," which is repeated in a brighter version lower right. The stone wall of the Charles Bridge says "PRAGUE."
In the right bright field in the direction of the shorter side of the banknote is the large value number "100" in green. The figures are filled in with the repeated microtexts "STO CORUNE OF THE CZECHOLENS '. Against the background of the large value number is the top half of the dark-haired guilloche in green, in the bottom half there are three roses, two in red and one in yellow. The left and right fields are separated by the vertical inscription" BANKNOTS ARE GOLD AND OTHER ACTIVITIES OF THE STATE BANK OF CZECHENS. "
The name of the author of the design "A. BRUNO DEL." and the name of the engraver "M. ONDRÁČEK CS." on the right is printed in small letters.
§ 3
Banknotes of 100 CZK model 1961 remain legal money.
§ 4
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
