on amendments to the Order of the Central Council of Trade Unions No 165 / 1979 Coll., on sickness insurance of certain workers and on the provision of sickness insurance benefits to citizens in special cases
The Central Council of Trade Unions, in agreement with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, provides, pursuant to § 2 (3) (c), § 9, § 51 (1) and (2) and § 63 (2) of Act No. 54 / 1956 Coll., on sickness insurance of employees, as amended by Act No. 16 / 1959 Coll., Act No. 87 / 1968 Coll. and Act No. 148 / 1983 Coll., and under § 36 (1) of Act No. 88 / 1968 Coll., on the extension of maternity leave, on maternity benefits and allowances for children from sickness insurance:
The Decree of the Central Council of Trade Unions No 165 / 1979 Coll., on sickness insurance for certain workers and on the provision of sickness insurance benefits to citizens in special cases, as amended by Decree No 155 / 1983 Coll., is amended as follows:
Article 46 (b) reads as follows:
'(b) pupils of secondary schools and special vocational schools;';

"(1) The insurance of a university student and a student of a secondary school and a special vocational school is established at the beginning of the first year of the school. However, if a student (a student) has started to perform his / her duties before that date, his / her insurance shall arise on the day on which he / she began to perform those duties. However, the insurance is established not earlier than eight years of schooling.
(2) The student insurance (pupil) lasts until the end of the final year of the school if the student (pupil) has passed the prescribed final examination, if he has not entered a permanent employment or started another permanent activity after his or her performance. If the student (s) has not completed this examination by the end of the final year of the school, his / her insurance period shall continue until the end of the following year, but at the latest until the end of the following school year, unless he / she has entered a permanent job or has started another permanent activity before the end of that period.
(3) However, the student insurance (pupil) always ceases to exist by interruption or early completion of the study. The insurance of a student who ends up studying in a secondary school or in a special vocational school by completing compulsory education shall not cease until the end of the period of school holidays following the end of the school year in which the student completes the last year of compulsory education unless he has entered permanent employment or started other permanent work. '
3. In Paragraph 55 (1), the following sentence is added to the end:
"Where the pupils are secondary or special vocational teachers, they shall fulfil these obligations of the organisation to which the teaching is organised. ';
4. In Paragraph 56, the current text becomes paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 is added as follows:
"(2) Paragraphs 49, 50 and 51 (3) and (4) shall not apply to pupils of secondary or special vocational schools. The provisions of paragraphs 41 to 44 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the deductible income, sickness and calculation and to the provision of monetary assistance in maternity. '
This Decree shall take effect on 1 September 1984.
