According to Article 15 of the Law No. 437 / 1940 Coll. I declare that the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on 16 April 1946 as follows:
1. The rates set out in Paragraph 1 (2) of the Law No 437 / 1940 Coll. are amended, so the relevant provision is:
"(2) These veterinary and inspection officers (paragraph 1) are remunerated at the rates set out in Section 3 of the Government Decree of 5 December 1940, No 436 Coll., on fees for the inspection of animals for slaughter and meat (the meat inspection fee schedule), but may not, for a single day, be subject to inspections at veterinary centres of less than 22 Kcs, for profilers of less than 15 Kcs. The costs related to the inspection shall be reimbursed to the veterinarian by the amount of 5 Kns and by the surveyors by the amount of 4 Kcs for each km of the actual journey. In addition, they shall be reimbursed for the actual costs of sending samples for bacteriological examination. These salaries are shown to them through the Postal Savings Office on the first day of the month according to the number of inspections they carried out in the month preceding the month. '
2. The rates set out in § 2 (3) to (6) of Decree No. 437 / 1940 Coll. are amended, so that the relevant provisions are as follows:
"(3) If the veterinarian's monthly salary, calculated in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2, is exceeded by an amount of CZK 4.000, it shall be deducted in favour of the total payment of inspections of animals for slaughter and meat of the first 1.000, of which the monthly salary exceeds CZK 4.000, 20% and of each additional CZK 1.000, by 20% respectively.
(4) If the monthly salary of the screener, calculated in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2, exceeds the amount of CZK 3,000, the total payment of the inspections of the animals at slaughter and the meat of the first CZK 1,000, by which the monthly salary exceeds CZK 3,000, 20% and of each additional CZK 1.000 shall be deducted gradually by 20%.
(5) However, if the average monthly salary resulting from the annual sum of the salaries does not exceed 4.000 Kčs in the veterinarian's office, after the previous year's average monthly salary for the browser is 3.000 Kčs, the same may, before 1 March of the following year, request that the salaries paid to him in the last year be paid in such a way that his average monthly salary for the previous year is equal to the above amount. However, this supplement may not be more than that which has been deducted in the previous year under paragraph 3 or 4.
(6) Veterinarians and visitors employed in large slaughterhouses shall be remunerated for the inspections according to the time needed for them for each half hour completed at the veterinarian by 21 Ccs, 12 Ccs for the visitors. The hourly performance shall be determined as necessary by the Ministry of Health in agreement with the Ministry of Finance. '
3. The rates set out in § 7 of the Law No. 437 / 1940 Coll. are changed, so the relevant provision is:
"Remuneration for actions outside the employing municipality.
The municipal vets and visitors who are appointed at the places referred to in § 6 belong to the municipality in which the inspection was carried out as a special reward for acts under Government Decree No. 40 / 1942 Coll., which take place outside the municipality which employs them, the remuneration calculated in accordance with § 2 and the flat-rate reimbursement of service expenses under § 8. When calculating the remuneration, account shall be taken of the tasks performed in the municipality which employs the person concerned. If this special fee exceeds 2.000 CZK per month for a veterinarian, 1.500 CZK for a browser, the total cost of inspections of slaughter animals and meat from the first 1.000 CZK for which the monthly payment exceeds 2.000 CZK, 20% for the 1.500 CZK, 20% for each additional 1.000 CZK shall be deducted gradually by 20%.
