on the exceptional reduction of continuous rest in the week
According to Article 92 (3) of the Labour Code, the Government of the Slovak Socialist Republic, after consulting the Slovak Trade Union Council for organisations governed by the central authorities of the Slovak Socialist Republic and the national committees, provides:
1. if, for operational reasons, it is not possible to provide the worker with continuous rest in a week of at least 32 hours (Section 92 of the Labour Code), the management organisation may schedule the working hours in such a way that the rest period is at least 24 hours
(a) seasonal and campaign work;
(b) in transport, cultural and continuous work
provided that the individual staff members have a continuous rest period of at least 32 hours at least once every three weeks;
2. in the case of works where working time is unevenly distributed over the whole calendar year and in agriculture, the management organisation may, on the basis of the guidelines of the Central Authority (Section 85 (2) of the Labour Code), schedule working hours in such a way that continuous rest of at least 32 hours falls on individual workers once every two weeks.
