Slovak National Council
of 21 July 1967
on the Commission for People's Control of the Slovak National Council
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
The Commission of People's Control of the Slovak National Council ("the Commission ') is the Audit Body of the Slovak National Council and the Regional Authority of the Central Commission of People's Control.
(1) The Commission shall carry out the inspection tasks of the national authorities and socialist organisations in Slovakia to the extent determined by the Slovak National Council and the tasks to be carried out by the Central Commission for the performance of the tasks imposed by the National Assembly and the Government will require popular checks from it.
(2) The Commission is responsible for its activities to the Slovak National Council and for carrying out the tasks required by it by the Central Commission for People's Control and also to that Commission.
(1) In carrying out its tasks, the Commission shall, in particular:
(a) compliance with laws and other laws, resolutions of the National Assembly, the Government, the Slovak National Council and its Bureau;
(b) the effectiveness of the management work of state bodies and socialist organisations in addressing the problems of the development of the national economy and culture;
(c) the effectiveness of the work of other control bodies;
(d) the state and level of handling of complaints, notifications and initiatives working in state bodies and socialist organisations.
(2) In monitoring the implementation of laws and other legislation, the resolution of the National Assembly, the Government, the Slovak National Council and its Bureau, the Commission examines the timeliness and completeness of the tasks and gives incentives to amend those laws and resolutions which no longer meet the needs of further development of socialist society.
(3) The Commission's control shall not apply to judicial and prosecutors' activities.
(1) The Commission shall carry out its tasks in close cooperation with the delegates and other committees of the Slovak National Council, regional authorities and organisations working in Slovakia. Based on the experience gained from the audit work, it proposes to the Slovak National Council and its Bureau to carry out checks on individual sectors of the national economy, culture and government.
(2) The Commission shall work with the broadest participation of workers and shall make full use of their knowledge and experience in its activities.
(1) In carrying out its tasks, the Commission shall follow the resolutions and directives of the Slovak National Council and its Bureau; in carrying out the tasks required by the Central Commission for People's Control, it shall also follow its guidelines and guidelines.
(2) The Commission reports on its activities to the Slovak National Council and its Bureau and on the performance of the tasks required by it by the Central Commission of People's Control, and also to that Commission.
(1) The Commission is entitled to require the co-operation of other popular control commissions in Slovakia in the performance of the tasks imposed by the Slovak National Council or required by the Central Commission of People's Control and to give them instructions for that purpose. The Commission is entitled to require the Slovak Trade Union Council to cooperate with the competition commission of the People's Inspection.
(2) The Commission is involved in the methodological management of the control activities of the Commission's popular control committees in Slovakia.
(1) The Commission is composed of a President, who is responsible for the Slovak National Council, two Vice-Presidents and other members. The President and members of the Commission shall be elected and removed from office by the Slovak National Council from the members of the Slovak National Council and from political, economic, scientific and other staff.
(2) The members of the Commission are in the hands of the chairman of the Slovak National Council by law.
(3) The Vice-Presidents of the Commission need not be members of the Slovak National Council. They are elected by a committee of its members.
The Commission has an apparatus to carry out its tasks, which is part of the single executive apparatus of the Slovak National Council. The work of the apparatus shall be managed by the authorising officer of the Commission; The Vice-Presidents of the Commission shall be represented by the Commissioner-designate and in this capacity.
Unless otherwise provided for in this Act, the Commission is covered by the Act of the Slovak National Council No. 124 / 1964 Coll., on the Rules of Procedure and Conditions of Employment of the Slovak National Council.

2. the provisions of Sections 13 and 16 (1) (e) of the Slovak National Council Act No. 15 / 1967 Coll., on changes in the organisation and tasks of certain executive bodies of the Slovak National Council.
This Act shall take effect on the date of approval of the Slovak National Council.
