Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 26 November 1958
on the issue of banknotes of 25 €model 1958
The Minister of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll.:
§ 1
On 1 December 1958, the National Bank of Czechoslovakia banknotes of 25 CZK model 1958 (shape II) shall be put into circulation.
§ 2
(1) A banknote of 25 CZK model 1958 is 69 mm wide and 140 mm long and is printed on yellow paper with watermark.
(2) A watermark of paper creates horizontal rows of lime petals with stopwatch throughout its surface, each carrying a five-point star inside. The paper is stronger in the places of the watermark and darker in the view than in its base surface. The main printing patterns on both the face and the back of the banknote occupy almost the entire area of the paper, except for the bright edge, which is extended at one shorter side, on the cheek to the left and on the reverse to the right.
(3) On the banknote face, the main printing pattern is printed in blue and black, and on all sides restricted by two parallel lines. On the right side is the picture of Jan Žížka's head from Trocnova looking to the left and at the bottom side are visible the peaks of Hussite weapons. Jan Žižka is displayed plain-haired, with a tape on the right eye and outside his head is visible part of the shoulders, covered in a coat.
(4) In the area above Hussite weapons is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic, made by the blue colour of the main print; the space at the place of the emblem and its wheels is filled with the text of the banknote, made in capital letters of the alphabet, in the colour of blue and black, as follows:

Under this text in the middle is the year of issue:
"1958"
The text continues in a vertical line along the left vertical side of the main print pattern with the sentences:
"Counterfeiting of BANKNOTES IS TROUBLE BY LAW - FALSOVATION OF BANCOVIKS SA TROUBLE SUBJECT AND LAW"
The whole area of the main printing area is filled with fine horizontal lines from small-wave lines; The shield of the national emblem has a lion in the background similar comma from the waves of the vertical position, a small shield with the sign of Slovakia on the chest of the lion is finely drawn by parallel lines in vertical and horizontal positions.
(5) On the left, on the expanded bright edge, the value of the banknote is marked with a large blue and black "25", decorated inside by a light wave mesh on a dark ground, very finely drawn. Below is a six-digit serial number of the banknote in a bright red vermilion colour and at the top is printed with one large letter of the alphabet and a two-digit number.
(6) Below the frame of the main print pattern are printed in small print by the name of the author of the banknote, on the left the name of the author of the design and drawing "KAREL SWOLIN INV. DEL." (designed and drawn) and on the right the name of the author of the engraving "JINDRA SCHMIDT SC." (ryl); In the middle is the company name of the printer and its registered office: "STATE PRESCRIBILITY PRAHA."
(7) On the back of the banknote, the main printing pattern occupies almost the entire area of the paper, except for the bright edge, extended at the right side. This main print pattern, made by an accurate set of blue-black colours with grey-blue and limited on four sides by a fine double line, shows the entire area of the town of Tábora. Yellow Hussite sun in the cloud sky complements symbols reminiscent of the famous Hussite past of the Czech people.
(8) At the upper right corner there is a small inscription "TABOR" in the picture and outside along the right vertical side of the picture is text in two rows:
"BANKNOTES OF THEIR CURRENT BALANCE AND OTHER ACTIVITIES LAID BY THE BANK OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
BANKS ARE GOLD AND OTHER ACTIVITIES OF THE STATE BANK OF CHESCOSLOVIC '.
(9) On the expanded bright edge is marked the value of the banknote with a large blue and black number "25," which is decorated inside with a drawing of fine scales.
(10) The name of the author of the drawing: "KAREL SVOLINSKÝ" and the name of the author of the graphic version on the right is printed in small print on the left.
(11) The entire area of the face and the reverse of the banknote is printed with a light underprint of yellow colour from parallel corrugated corrugated wool.
§ 3
Banknotes of 25 CZK model 1953, issued in accordance with Decree Minister of Finance No. 45 / 1953 Coll., remain legal money.
§ 4
This Decree shall take effect on 1 December 1958.
