on the increase in pensions
The Bureau of the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic has acted in accordance with Article 58 (3) of Constitutional Law No. 143 / 1968 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Federation, on the following legal measure:
Čl. I
(1) Old-age, invalidity and partial invalidity pensions, for the service of years and part-time pensions for the service of years, widows', orphans' and social security (insurance) pensions are increased by 30 CZK per month.
(2) The increase is one of the pensions paid on the date of application of this legal measure and the pensions granted after that date.
(3) If a pensioner receives more pensions to which an increase is granted, he will only receive an increase once.
(4) The increase in pensions is due, even if the pension, together with it, exceeds the limits limiting the pension rate set by a percentage to the average monthly earnings or exceeds the highest pension rates (sum of pensions in the run-up) set by fixed amounts. 1) If the pension is paid at a reduced rate for co-operation with income from a gainful activity or is limited to continuing employment (work), for constitutional or other provision of a pensioner, an increase in the pension thus adjusted shall be granted.
(5) In calculating the pension to be determined from the pension to which the increase belongs and in increasing the pension for helplessness, no increase shall be taken into account.
(6) The increase in the pension provided for in the previous provisions is included in the defined lowest rate of income, which is the sole source of income of the pensioner (Article II (2)) and in the lowest rates of income of the resistance participants (Article II (3)).
(7) Unless otherwise provided for in this legal measure, pension increases shall apply mutatis mutandis to pension benefits.
(8) The pension increase shall be granted without application and shall be paid monthly in advance at the same time as the monthly pension amounts.
Čl. II
Act No. 121 / 1975 Coll., on Social Security, is amended as follows:
1. In Paragraph 32 (2), the amount of 500 CZK is replaced by 650 CZK.
2. The lowest rates of pensions, which are the only source of income of the pensioner, set out in Sections 42 (1) and (2), 45 (2) and 159, shall be increased from the amount of 600 CZK to 780 CZK and from the amount of 1100 CZK to 1330 CZK.
3. The lowest rates of pensions of the resistance participants set out in Sections 57 (2) and (5), 59 (2) and 60 shall be increased from the amount of 600 Cds to 780 Ccs and from the amount of 1100 Cds to 1330 Ccs.
Čl. III
Transitional provisions
(1) Pensions paid on the date of application of this legal measure shall be increased in accordance with Article I from the payment of the pension due after the date of application of that legal measure.
(2) The pensions paid on the date of application of this statutory measure, which have been adjusted as a single source of income, will be increased in accordance with Article II (2) without application at the earliest from the payment of the pension due after the date of application of that legal measure.
(3) Old-age, disabled, widower, orphan orphan children, social, parents and siblings who have not yet been adjusted as a single source of income and do not reach the level laid down in Article II (2) above and the pensions of resistance participants which do not reach the level laid down in Article II (3) above shall be adjusted on request at the earliest from the payment of the pension due after the effective date of this legal measure.
(4) Invalidity pensions of youth disabled persons, (2) which do not exceed the amount laid down in Article II (1) shall be adjusted on request from the payment of the pension due after the date of application of this legal measure. This also applies to invalidity pensions of young disabled persons which were assessed before 1 January 1976.

This legal measure shall take effect on 1 August 1979.
