Slovak National Council
of 8 July 1975
on the Journalists' Prize in Schúr
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
The press award of Ms Štúr (hereinafter the "Journalist Prize ') is awarded to individuals or to collectibles as an expression of honesty for important journalistic and publicist activities or for life-long work in these areas, which they made a significant contribution in the Slovak Socialist Republic to the realisation of the ideas of marxism and proletarian internationalism, to the building of socialism and to the fight for peace.
The press prize is awarded annually by the Presidency of the Slovak National Council on September 21, on a proposal from the Government of the Slovak Socialist Republic (the Government).
(1) The Advisory Body of the Government for the Assessment of Proposals of Institutions, Organisations, Institutions or Individuals for the Award of the Journalist Prize is the Committee for the Journalist Award of the Audience of Štúr, hereinafter referred to as the Committee.
(2) The President and the members of the Committee are appointed and withdrawn by the Government.
(1) The honorary title of the "Journalist Award Bringer of the Štúr" belongs to the decorated individuals. they are entitled to wear a ribbon symbolizing the Journalist Prize.
(2) The honorary title of "Journalist Award winner of the Štúr Prize" belongs to the distinguished collective.
(3) The award of the Journalist Prize is accompanied by a remuneration.
The content of the proposals for the award of the Journalist Prize, the manner in which they are presented and discussed, the amount of remuneration, the details of the award of the Journalist Prize and the exercise of the privileges referred to in Article 4, as well as the organisation of the Committee, shall be laid down in the Statute of the Journalist Prize approved by the Government.
The Act of the Slovak National Council No. 65 / 1971 Coll., on the Journalist Price of the Czech Republic, is hereby repealed.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
