DECLARATION
Ministry of Agriculture
of 26 March 1996
laying down dangerous animal species
The Ministry of Agriculture pursuant to § 3 (h) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 246 / 1992 Coll., for the protection of animals against abuse, as amended by Act No. 162 / 1993 Coll., provides:
Hazardous species (1)
1. amphibious class (Amphibia)
(a) all types of horns (genus Ceratophrys)
(b) all kinds of frogs of the family Dendrobatidae
2. reptile class (Reptilia)
(a) all poisonous reptiles
(b) predatory species of caiman turtles (Chelydridae)
(c) all crocodile species (Crocodylia)
d) from suborder lizards (Sauria) all species growing in adulthood over 1 m body length including tail
e) from the suborder of snake (Ophidia) all non-toxic species growing in adulthood over 3 m of body length including tail
3. bird class (Aves)
(a) all kinds of ostriches and casuaries (Struthioniformes, Rheiformes, Casuariiformes series)
(b) all species of the order Pelecaniformes
(c) all brood species (Ciconiiformes) with the exception of turnips (Plataleidae)
(d) all bird species (Falconiformes) with the exception of captive birds according to the Specific Law 2)
(e) all species of the owl order (Strigiformes)
(f) large types of cranes (Grus, Anthropoides and Balearica)
(g) large species of parrot (Ara spp., Anodorhynchus, Calyptorhynchus, Proboscigera)
4. mammalian class (Mammalia)
(a) all species of the primate order (Primates) with the exception of the maci (sub-family of Cheirogaleinae) and members of the families of Galagidae, Tarsiidae and Callithricidae
(b) all species of the order of the beast (Carnivora), including fin-fish (Pinnipedia), with the exception of domesticated species of the dog (Canis familiaris), cat (Felis catus), ferret (Putorius furo)
(c) members of the Octopus Order (Proboscidea)
(d) all species of the order of solipeds (Perissodactyla) and all species of the order of biodactyls (Artiodactyla), with the exception of domesticated horse species (Equus caballus), donkey (Equus asinus), pig (Sus domesticus), goat (Capra hircus), sheep (Ovis aries), tur (Bos taurus) and certain cross-breeds (mule, mule)
(e) all species of the order Dwarf (Monotremata), of the order Dwarf (Marsupialia), of the devil Bear (Sarcophilus harrisii) and of all species of the kangaroos of the genus Macropus, Megaleia, Wallabia and Dendrolagus, of the order Rodentia) of the order Rodentia dicobraz (families Hystricidae and Erethizontidae), of the order Poudushib (Adentata) of the anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla) and of the lenochodi (family Bradypodidae).
This decree shall take effect on 1 May 1996.
