Government Regulation
of 7 September 1951
establishing new ministries.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the consent of the President of the Republic pursuant to § 1 of the Constitutional Act No. 47 / 1950 Coll., on adaptations in the organisation of public administration:
(1) The Ministry of Heavy Industry is hereby established
Ministry of Fuel and Energy,
Ministry of Metal Industry and ore mines,
Ministry of Chemical Industry,
Ministry of Heavy Engineering and
Ministry of General Engineering.
(2) These ministries perform in their field the tasks of the Ministry of Heavy Industry and the tasks which have been carried out by the Ministry of Industry in these fields.
(1) The Ministry of Forestry and the Wood Industry is hereby established.
(2) The Ministry of Forestry and the Wood Industry has performed the tasks of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Light Industry.
A Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare is hereby established.
The detailed definition of the tasks of individual ministries, including in the context of transfers of responsibilities carried out under this Regulation, shall be the responsibility of the participating ministers in agreement with the Minister of the Interior.
The functions of general and central (regional) directors, with the exception of those of ministries of transport and post offices, shall be deleted from the date to be determined by the Government on a proposal from the competent minister; the relevant directorates shall be deleted on the same day. The tasks of the repealed bodies will be performed by the ministries, unless these tasks are delegated by the relevant minister to undertakings.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; All members of the government will do it.
