of 21 July 1953
honours and honours for teachers and other school staff.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the agreement of the President of the Republic pursuant to § § 1 and 7 of Act No. 247 / 1949 Coll., on honours and honorary recognition:
For the award of teachers and other school staff, who, with their work enthusiasm and exceptional results of their work in building a socialist school, encourage and provide an example to others to follow up,
1. the medal "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" is founded,
2. public recognition shall be introduced;
3. honorary titles are introduced
(a) the "deserving teacher,"
(b) "Promised school worker,"
(c) "Model teacher."
Honours.
The award of the "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" is awarded to teachers and other school staff particularly excellent in the field of pedagogy for successfully addressing questions of theory and history of pedagogy, psychology, defectology, school hygiene, improvement of teaching methods, creation of standard textbooks, manuals for teachers and teaching aids, etc.
(1) The medal of Jan Amos Komenský is awarded by the President of the Republic on a proposal from the Government.
(2) The details of the conditions for the award of honours, the description of honours and the details of its wearing are contained in the attached Statutes which are part of this Regulation.
Public recognition.
(1) Teachers and other school staff are awarded public recognition for excellent work in the field of teaching science.
(2) The Government grants public recognition.
(3) The honoured will be given a document stating that they have been given public recognition (diploma).
Honorable degrees.
The honorary title "Deserved Teacher" is awarded to particularly deserving and excellent teachers who have worked at school for at least 10 years, and have excelled in educational teaching activities that have shown excellent success in socialist education and youth education and who have been active in public life.
Other particularly deserving and excellent teachers who have worked in the school field for at least 10 years and have excelled in this activity, which has demonstrated excellent achievements in socialist education and youth education, and who have been active in public life, are awarded the honorary title "A deserving school worker."
The honorary titles "Deserved Teacher" and "Deserved School Worker" are awarded by the Government on a proposal from the Minister for Education and Education. Teachers and school staff in the field of another Central Office propose the award of these honorary degrees to the Head of the Central Office in agreement with the Minister for Education and Education.
The honorary title "Sample Teacher" is awarded to teachers and other school staff whose outstanding performance and achievements in or in the educational work and in its management and organisation are significantly greater than those of other teachers and school staff, and who, by exemplary performance of all their duties, have become a model for following.
The honorary title "Sample Teacher" is awarded to staff in the field of the Ministry of Education and Education by the Minister for Education and Education. In agreement with the Minister for Education and Education, this honorary title is awarded to school staff in the field of another central office.
(1) The honourably decorated will be given an honorary title with the title of being awarded an honorary degree (diploma).
(2) Honorary degrees are associated with the right to wear an honorary badge.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; they shall be carried out by the Prime Minister and the Minister for Education and Education in agreement with the participating members of the Government.

Statutes
Medal of Jan Amos Komenský.
(1) The award of the "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" is awarded to teachers and other school staff particularly excellent in the field of pedagogy for successfully addressing the issues of theory and history of pedagogy, psychology, defectology, school hygiene, improvement of teaching methods, creation of standard textbooks, manuals for teachers and teaching aids, etc.
(2) The medal "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" is awarded by the President of the Republic on a proposal from the Government.
(3) At the same time as the honours, he will receive a decorated diploma and a badge as a document for wearing the honours.
(4) The medal "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" is a circle with a diameter of 27 mm. On the face of the laurel branches is the plastic breast of Jan Amos Komenský, on the left from the bust is the year "1592," on the right is the year "1670," and under it the sign "Jan Amos Komenský." The letters "ČSR" are on the upper part of the reverse lined with lip branches and under them the inscription "For Merit in Education Sciences." The inscriptions on the medal are bulky. The medal is embossed with silver, patinated. It is worn on a hanging buckle in the shape of a rectangle 25 mm wide and 15 mm long, covered with silk ribbon. The ribbon is red with two 3 mm wide strips in the middle, of which the right strip is white and left blue.
(5) The medal "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" is worn on the left side of the breast. If only the ribbon is worn, it is tensed to a rectangular bar 10 mm wide and 25 mm long. There's a miniature medal on the ribbon.
(6) The medal "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" ranks from right to left in the order behind the medal "For Excellent Work"; If only the ribbon of distinction is worn, it ranks in the same order.
(7) The "Jan Amos Komenský Medal" is administered by the Prime Minister.
