on the First Additional Protocol to the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on cooperation in the field of social policy and governance of 5 April 1948.
The First Additional Protocol to the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on cooperation in the field of social policy and governance of 5 April 1948 was negotiated in Warsaw on 30 September 1955.
President of the Czech Republic The first Additional Protocol was ratified on 22 December 1956 and the instruments of ratification were exchanged in Prague on 27 February 1957.
According to its § 5 The first Additional Protocol entered into force on the date of the replacement of the instruments of ratification, i.e. 27 February 1957.
The Czech version of the First Additional Protocol to the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Policy and Governance Cooperation of 5 April 1948 is hereby published in the Annex to the Collection of Laws. *)

FIRST ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL
to the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Policy and Governance Cooperation of 5 April 1948.
The President of the Czechoslovak Republic and the State Council of the People's Republic of Poland, led by the wish to amend and supplement the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Policy and Governance Cooperation, signed in Warsaw on 5 April 1948, decided to conclude an Additional Protocol to this Convention and appointed their agents to do so, namely:
PRESIDENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC

THE STATE COUNCIL OF THE POLAND REPUBLIC
THE STANISLAVA OF ZAWADZA,
who have agreed on the following provisions following the exchange of full powers which have been found to be in good and proper form:
In Article 10 of the Convention, paragraph 2 is added:
"All questions, included in the Convention on Social Insurance and affecting benefits in kind from sickness and maternity insurance, if they belong to the field of preventive and medical care, shall be discussed by the Health Commission established under the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on cooperation in the field of health protection of 17 November 1950. '
Article 11 of the Convention shall read as follows:
"This Convention shall be implemented in both States by the competent administrative authorities and central authorities of trade unions, taking into account the initiatives and proposals of the Joint Commission. These authorities and trade union bodies shall be aware of the measures taken to implement this Convention. ';
Article IV (3) of the Third Final Protocol to the Convention shall read as follows:
"The chairmen of the subcommittees shall be appointed by the chairman of the delegation of the State on whose territory the meeting will take place. ';
Article V. The Final Protocol to the Convention shall read as follows:
"The two States shall communicate to each other which authorities and central authorities of trade unions are responsible for its implementation within the meaning of Article 11 of the Convention. ';
This Protocol shall be subject to ratification and shall become effective on the date of the exchange of instruments of ratification. The instruments of ratification will be exchanged in Prague.
The provisions of this Protocol shall apply provisionally as from the date of its signature.
This Protocol shall be of the same duration as the Convention between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Republic of Poland on Social Policy and Governance Cooperation of 5 April 1948.
This Protocol was drawn up in Warsaw on 30 September 1955 in duplicate, each in the Czech and Polish languages, in which both texts are equally authentic.
