of 25 January 1949
establishing official marks for platinum, gold and silver goods.
The Ministry of Industry declares, pursuant to Article 18 of the Law of 16 December 1927, No 2 of 1928, on the purity and punk control of platinum, gold and silver goods (punk law):
The official marks for platinum, gold and silver goods produced in the Czech Republic shall be as shown in the Annex, which forms part of this Order, as follows:
1. In the official mark for platinum goods of legal purity there is a pattern of the Holy Oscal Crown above which Hradčany are in the background with a fitting sun. The emblem of the mark is a quadrilateral whose side above the painting of the Hradč is gothic;
2. in official brands for the larger gold goods of all four legal purity is the pattern of the lion in the oval boundary; the degree of purity is indicated in the middle of the lower half of the mark by the Arabic digit 1, 2, 3 or 4;
3. in the official marks for smaller gold goods, the degree of purity No 1 (986 / 1000) and No 2 (900 / 1000) is the pattern of the head of the eagle which, for each degree of purity, is delimited differently; the degree of purity is indicated in the Arabic digit 1 or 2 and corresponds to the number of long sides of the boundary;
4. in the official mark for smaller gold goods, the degree of purity No 3 (750 / 1000) is the pattern of the head of the cock bounded by a non-uniform pentagon; the degree of purity is indicated in the Arabic digit 3;
5. in the official mark for the smaller gold goods, the degree of purity No 4 (585 / 1000) is the pattern of the head of the cup in the oval boundary; the degree of purity is indicated in the Arabic digit 4;
6. the official brands for the larger silver goods of all five legal purity are the pattern of the head of the tressed Slovakia. The pattern is delimited differently for each degree of purity. The degree of purity is indicated in the tip of the mark by the Arabic number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and corresponds to the number of long sides of the boundary, excluding the mark for the first degree of purity whose boundary is circular;
7. The official brands for smaller silver goods of all five legal purity are the pattern of the head of the stone in a border similar to those for larger silver goods. The degree of purity is indicated in the tip of the mark by the Arabic number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.
The official marks for platinum, gold and silver goods imported from abroad shall be as shown in the Annex as follows:
1. In the official mark for platinum goods of legal purity is the pattern of the holy crown in the outline of a rectangle whose upper side is eviscerated;
2. in the official mark for the gold goods of the legal purity is a pattern of lyre with the letter "C." bounded by a non-uniform octagonal;
3. in the official mark for silver goods of the legal purity is a pattern of stylized lily flower with the letter "C," bounded by a standing, numb ellipse.
The official marks for platinum, gold and silver goods, not yet punked, which come into trade from private property or are sold in public auction (old goods) shall be as follows:
1. In the official mark for platinum goods of legal purity is a pattern of stylized rose flower cut with an arrow, which is bounded by a non-uniform hexagon;
2. in the official mark for gold goods of legal purity is a pattern of stylized ear in the outline of lyre;
3. in the official mark for silver goods of the legal purity is a pattern of oak leaf with acorn in the outline of horseshoe.
In the official mark for unpunctured platinum, gold and silver goods which are exported abroad, as shown in the Annex, the anchor pattern is broken by the letter V, which is bounded by an isosceles triangle with numb corners.
The authorities responsible for testing the purity and legal status of platinum, gold and silver goods may designate such goods by official marks in accordance with the existing regulations until the stocks of existing ramps are exhausted.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
