DECLARATION
of 8 January 2024
on the issue of the commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
(1) On 28 February 2024 the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana is issued a commemorative silver coin of CZK 200 (hereinafter referred to as the "two hundred crowns").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief.
(3) Two hundred koruna is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of the 2-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and the force 2,3 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns, the tolerance in the silver content shall be up to 1%, the difference in weight up to 0,26 g, the tolerance in diameter 0,1 mm and the tolerance in thickness 0,15 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front side of the two hundred crown is the panorama of Prague with silhouette Hradčan with integrated text "MY FAMILY." In the copy around the perimeter of the coin is the text "CZECH REPUBLIC" and the denomination designation with the abbreviation "200 CZK." The brand of the Czech Mint consisting of the letters "No" and "M" is placed to the left of the text "MY FAMILY."
(2) A portrait of Bedřich Smetana is depicted on the reverse of the two hundred crowns. In the copy at the right and upper edge of the coin are the texts "BEDRlCH SMETANA," "1824 - 2024" and the author's initials Jiří Hanuš, DiS., which consist of the letter "H" in the frame.
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decree shall take effect on 28 February 2024.
