Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that on 3 May 1996 the Protocol between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Russian Federation was signed in Prague on issues of implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on cooperation in the acquisition of the Jamburg gas site, the construction of the Jamburg Long-Range Gas pipeline - the western border of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the objects of the Ural Gas Complex and the associated gas supplies from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic of 16 December 1985.
The Protocol entered into force on 9 July 1996 on the basis of Article 9 thereof and its provisions shall be effective from 1 January 1992.
The text of the Protocol can be consulted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
