Government Regulation
of 14 March 1958
determining which provisions of the Higher Education Act apply to military higher education institutions.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic provides pursuant to § 35 of Act No. 58 / 1950 Coll., on Higher Education, as amended by Act No. 46 / 1956 Coll.:
(1) The provisions of Act No. 58 / 1950 Coll., on Universities, as amended by Act No. 46 / 1956 Coll., with the exception of § § 3, 4, 6, 10, 13, § 15 (3), § 16 (4) to (7), § 17 (2), § 19 (1) and (5), § 26 (2) second sentence and § § § 31 to 34 apply to military higher education institutions. Paragraph 5 (2) (d) applies only to scientific fields similar to those of civil universities. otherwise, the powers of the State Committee for Higher Education and the Slovak Committee for Higher Education are exercised by a military body established by the Minister for National Defence.
(2) The competence of the Minister of Education and Culture (Ministry of Education and Culture), under the Act on Higher Education, shall be exercised by the Minister for National Defence in the military higher education sector within the scope of paragraph 1.
(3) Where this is required by a uniform regulation of questions of a general nature, and when appointing and setting up professors and teachers of military universities and setting up their representatives for scientific disciplines similar to those of civil universities, the Minister for Defence shall act in agreement with the Minister for Education and Culture.
(1) Proposals for the appointment of professors of military universities are submitted to the Government by the Minister for National Defence.
(2) The Head of the Department of Military Universities is appointed by the Minister for National Defence.
(3) The designation of university staff (Section 25 of the Act), in addition to the designation of professors, teachers and professional assistants, may be amended by the Ministry of National Defence for universities by way of derogation.
(4) The tasks, organisation and management of individual military higher education institutions are laid down in their organisational statutes issued by the Minister for National Defence.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; they shall be carried out by the Minister for National Defence in agreement with the Minister for Education and Culture.
