THE LAW
of 2 February 2006
amending Act No. 133 / 2000 Coll., on the registration of residents and birth numbers and amending certain laws (the Act on the registration of residents), as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 133 / 2000 Coll., on the registration of residents and birth numbers and on the amendment of certain laws (Act on the registration of residents), as amended by Act No. 2 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 320 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 53 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 501 / 2004 Coll. and Act No. 444 / 2005 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. in Article 6a (a) (7), the comma after the words "date of birth" shall be replaced by a semicolon and the words "this information shall not be reported in respect of a child born to a woman residing in the Czech Republic who has given birth and has applied in writing for the secrecy of her person in connection with the birth," shall be added;
2. In Article 7 (c), the following point 6 is inserted after point 5, including footnote 7a:
"6th birth numbers of father and mother (a); where they have not been allocated, their name and, where appropriate, their names and surnames; this information is not reported when it is a child born to a woman with a permanent residence in the Czech Republic who has given birth to a child and has applied in writing for the secrecy of her person in connection with the birth,

Point 6 is renumbered point 7.
3. In Article 10 (3), the words "unless the parents agree otherwise 'shall be inserted after the word" mothers'.
4. In Article 10, at the end of paragraph 4, the dot is replaced by a semicolon and the words, including footnote 12b, are added: "Similarly, a woman with permanent residence on the territory of the Czech Republic who has given birth to a child who is a citizen of the Czech Republic shall apply in writing for the secrecy of her person in connection with the porodes12b).
12b) § 67b (20) of Act No. 20 / 1966 Coll., on the care of the health of the people, as amended. '
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
