amending Article VI, paragraph A / 3 of the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency, approved by Resolution GC (V) / RES / 92 at V. General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency on 4 October 1961
On 4 October 1961 at V. The General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency was approved by Resolution GC (V) / RES / 92 amending Article VI, paragraph A / 3 of the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic is a Contracting Party to the Statutes of the International Atomic Energy Agency (No 59 / 1958 Coll.).
This amendment to the Statutes was approved by the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on 19 December 1962 and ratified by the President of the Republic on 8 February 1963.
Article VI, paragraph A / 3 The Statute will now read as follows:
"The General Conference shall elect 12 members to the Governing Council with due regard for fair representation by area referred to in subparagraph A / 1 of this Article in the Council as a whole, so that the Council still includes in this category three representatives from the Latin America region, three representatives from the African and Middle East region and one representative from each of the remaining areas except North America. ';
The instruments of ratification of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic for that amendment to the Statutes were handed over to the State Department on 25 April 1963.
Amendment to Article VI, paragraph A / 3 The Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency entered into force on 31 January 1963.
