Decree No. 68 / 1955 Coll.

On 5 July 1930, the International Convention on the Free Edge of Ships was negotiated in London, which entered into force under Article 24 on 1 January 1933.

The Convention was ratified by the President of the Republic on 28 May 1955 and a written notification of access by the Czechoslovak Republic to it was delivered to the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on 18 June 1955, so that the Convention became effective in accordance with Article 23 for the Czechoslovak Republic on 18 September 1955.

The states and territories for which ratification instruments have been deposited or written notifications of access or use are the following: Czechoslovakia, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burma, Costa Rica, China, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Philippines, Finland, France, former French Indochina, Honduras, Hongkong, Chile, India, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Africa Union, Jugoslavia, Canada, Korea (South), Cuba, Liberia, Hungary, Malay Federation, Mexico, Germany, Nicaragua, the Netherlands, former Netherlands, East India and Curacao, Norway, New Foundland, New Zealand (and West Samoa), Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Greece, United States, United States of America, Straits Settings, Swiss, Soviet Socialist Republic, Spain, Switzerland, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, the United States and the United States of the United States.
