on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Grenada on scientific and technological cooperation
On 4 June 1980, the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Grenada on scientific and technological cooperation was signed in Prague. The Agreement entered into force on 12 February 1981 pursuant to Article 10 thereof.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Grenada on scientific and technological cooperation
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Grenada (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties), wishing to further expand the development of mutual scientific and technological cooperation in order to strengthen friendly relations and promote economic relations between the two countries,
they have agreed as follows:
Both Parties will cooperate in the fields of science and technology to make the most effective use of the latest scientific and technological knowledge for both countries' economic development.
Cooperation between the Contracting Parties under Article 1 of this Agreement shall include:
(a) the provision of experts, advisers and technicians to carry out services;
(b) organising theoretical and practical training of nationals of both Contracting Parties;
(c) cooperation in any other form of scientific and technical activities to be mutually agreed.
The fields and detailed conditions of scientific and technical cooperation, including the level and manner of remuneration, shall be agreed between the relevant organisations of the two countries.
Each Contracting Party shall provide the citizens of the other Contracting Party seconded to its territory under the terms of this Agreement with all necessary assistance in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in that country.
Both Parties shall ensure that experts of one Contracting Party carrying out obligations under this Agreement are treated in the same way as experts of any other third country in the territory of the other Contracting Party.
All persons carrying out their duties in the territory of the other Contracting Party under this Agreement shall comply with the provisions laid down for the performance of their duties and refrain from any interference in other matters.
Each Contracting Party undertakes not to disclose to a third party any specific knowledge acquired in connection with the implementation of this Agreement without the prior consent of the other Contracting Party.
The provisions of this Agreement shall not apply to experts, technicians, officials and other persons performing their duties in the territory of one of the Contracting Parties under the terms of individual contracts concerning the supply of goods or the provision of services related to such supplies of goods.
The Parties shall consult each other on any matter relating to the implementation of this Agreement.
This Agreement shall be subject to approval in accordance with the provisions of each Contracting Party and shall enter into force on the date of the exchange of notes confirming such approval.
This Agreement shall be valid for three years and shall not be extended by one year in silence unless one of the Contracting Parties denies it in writing at least six months before the expiry of the relevant period.
Dane and signed in Prague on 4 June 1980 in two originals in the Czech and English languages, both texts being equally authentic.
