on the issue of banknotes after 20 CZK
The Czech National Bank provides according to § 22 (a) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
§ 1
Banknotes of CZK 20 model 1994 (hereinafter referred to as "the banknote") shall be issued for circulation on 20 April 1994.
§ 2
(1) The banknote is 64 mm wide and 128 mm long. The tolerance allowed in its width and length is ± 1,5 mm. The banknote is printed on a naturally coloured paper with a local tiered watermark and a protective window strip.
(2) The tiered watermark is placed on the 30 mm wide, unprinted edge of the banknote (hereinafter referred to as "coupon") and consists of a portrait of Přemysl Otakar I.
(3) The 1,4 mm wide protective window strip is embedded in paper in a perpendicular direction to the long side of the banknote throughout its width, at a distance of 74 mm, for banknotes put into circulation after 1 February 1996 at a distance of 50 mm from the left edge of the banknote with a tolerance of ± 6 mm. On the front side of the banknote, there is always 5 mm on the surface of the paper of a silver stripe of 5 mm in length on which the negative microtext "20 CZK" can be read from the bottom up.
(4) The banknote shall bear a protective serial number in the form of the letter "C" in which the letter "S" is inserted. Its upper part printed in blue-grey colour is visible on the front of the banknote in the left upper part of the print pattern, the lower part printed in blue on the reverse side of the banknote in the right upper part of the print pattern. The entire brand is visible from both sides of the banknote in the view against the light. When viewed from the reverse side of the banknote, the protective contour mark is sideways inverted.
§ 3
(1) On the face of the banknote there is a portrait of Remysl Otakar I in the right part of the print pattern. It is printed by printing from depth in dark blue grey. The name "VEMYSL OTAKAR I." is placed in two rows to the right of the royal crown on the head of the portrait. It is also printed by printing from deep blue grey. Above the shoulder of the portrait is an ornamental ribbon forming part of the garment, a surface for a hidden pattern which, at a certain angle of light impact, creates a dark or bright number "20." The area is printed in blue-grey colour. From the portrait on the right, a denser belt of blue up to 5 mm wide unprinted edge leads along with the longer sides of the banknote. The number "20" is negative on the belt from top to bottom. The belt and number are printed by printing from the surface. In the top right corner of the banknote there is a tactile mark for blind and weak-sighted. The mark consists of two 4 mm diameter rings below each other, which are 5 mm apart. The tactile mark is printed from depth in dark blue-grey colour. At the bottom edge of the banknote on the left is printed in small print from depth in the color of the dark blue-grey name of the author of the draft banknote "O. KULHÁNEK INV.," right in color blue-grey name of the author of the engraving transcript of the portrait "M. ONDRÁČEK SC."
(2) In the left part of the print pattern there is a text in two rows indicating the denomination of the banknote "DVACET KORUN ČESKÝ" in two rows the name of the issue bank "CZECH NATIONAL BANK". Under the name of the Emission Bank, the designation of the Emission Bank Representative is the word "GUVERNER 'and the facsimile of its signature. This year's issue of the" 1994 "banknote is placed to the right of the coupon under the protective serial number. All the above texts are printed by printing from depth in dark blue grey. In the background of the texts, the azure blue colour shows the sculpture decoration of the Tišnov Monastery portal, which is inserted in the top of the banknote by the face side of the seal Remysl Otakar I. printed in blue. At the bottom of the banknote there is gothic ornaments and gems decorated ribbon, which is part of the clothing of the Premysl Otakar I., printed in combination with blue and blue-grey colour. Gems on the ribbon are printed in the color azure. Background is printed by printing from the surface. The underprint of the front side of the banknote consists of a small sheet in grey and light blue.
(3) The upper part of the coupon is printed by printing from the depth of the large significant number "20" indicating the denomination of the banknote. The area of the digits is filled with a small grid in blue-grey colour, which in the lower part passes into a dark blue-grey colour.
§ 4
(1) On the back of the banknote, in combination with dark blue and blue, the royal crown is printed on the background of a wide ribbon decorated with Gothic motifs and gems. The ribbon is printed in grey, which goes into light blue to both sides of the banknote, the jewels on the ribbon are printed in blue. Above the royal crown is placed the front side of the seal of the Sicilian Golden Bull, also printed in dark blue. On the sides of the royal crown at the top of the background there is a gothic shield on the left with a historical Czech character printed in a combination of grey and light blue, a gothic shield on the right with a historical character of Moravia printed in grey. In the right part of the print pattern, parallel to the longer sides of the banknote towards the coupon on the wide decorative ribbon, the belt is printed in blue, on which the large national emblem of the Czech Republic is also printed in blue. The underprint in grey and light blue is made of a small raster. In the lower left corner of the print pattern the number "20" is printed, the contours of its digits are blue. At the same time as the bottom of the banknote, the inscription "FAILURE BANKNOTES ARE PRESSURE BY LAW 'is placed to the right of the number" 20'. The color of the inscription is blue. At the bottom edge of the banknote, the inscriptions "© ČESSKÝ NATIONAL BANK," "STATE PRESCRIBING PRAHA," and the name of the author of the engraving transcription of the main motif of the reverse side "V. FAJT SC." are printed from left to right in the blue. All displayed images and texts are printed by printing from the surface.
(2) The denomination of the series of banknotes in one capital letter of the alphabet and the two-digit number and the six-digit serial number of the banknote shall be printed in a horizontal direction lower right under the national emblem of the Czech Republic and in a vertical direction up in half the shorter side of the banknote at the unprinted edge on the left. Both series descriptions and banknote serial numbers are printed from a height in black. The numbers of the horizontally situated serial number of the banknote are increased from left to right.
(3) The upper part of the coupon is printed by printing from the surface in blue with a large distinctive number "20" indicating the denomination of the banknote. The area of the digits is filled with a small raster, in the top part grey, in the bottom part blue. At the bottom of the coupon, a stylized royal crown is printed in blue and black.
§ 5
This Decree shall take effect on 11 April 1994.
