of 13 March 1990
on the promise of a Member of the Czech National Council and the National Committee and the promise of members of the Government of the Czech Republic
The Czech National Council decided on the following constitutional law:
The Member of the Czech National Council and the National Committee makes the following promise: "I pledge allegiance to the Czech Republic and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in my honour and conscience. I will heed the will and interests of the people, follow the constitutional and other laws of the Czech Republic and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and work to bring them to life."
The members of the Government of the Czech Republic make the following promise: "I promise my honour and conscience to the Czech Republic and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. I will perform my duties according to the will of the people and in the interests of the people. I will maintain the constitutional and other laws of the Czech Republic and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and work to bring them to life."
This constitutional law shall take effect on the day of its publication.
