DECLARATION
Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition of the Slovak Socialist Republic
of 2 May 1979
laying down the formalities for staff recruited for the sugar campaign and certain other campaign work
The Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition of the Slovak Socialist Republic provides, pursuant to Section 43 (2) of Act No. 133 / 1970 Coll., on the competence of federal ministries, in agreement with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Slovak Socialist Republic and the Slovak Committee of the Trade Union of Food Workers:
General provisions
(1) This decree applies to workers acquired in the food industry trade unions
(a) regional national committees by recruitment for the sugar campaign, 1)
(b) processing organisations for campaign work in the drying of chicory and sugar beet, processing of perishable fruit and vegetables and processing of starch potatoes (hereinafter referred to as "workers").
(2) The following shall be granted to workers to the extent and under the conditions set out below:
(a) fare;
(b) food;
(c) family support;
(d) accommodation; and
(e) catering.
Ticket
(1) Workers are entitled to reimbursement of the fare on their way to work from their permanent residence.
(2) After termination of employment and after completion of the employment contract, the workers are entitled to reimbursement of the fare to their place of residence. The reimbursement of the fare shall also be subject to termination of the employment for reasons for which the employment contract may be untied by notice from the worker before the end of that period.
(3) The fare shall be paid for the second carriage class of the passenger train or, if more economical or necessary, for the bus; when driving by train up to 100 km, the fare is paid for the second carriage class of the speedster. If a worker has incurred higher costs by using another means of transport, he shall be compensated only for the fare per means of transport according to the preceding sentence. The worker shall be obliged to avail himself of the possibility of discounts, except for the travel benefits which he may enjoy as a family member of the transport worker.
Disgusting
Workers who are entitled to compensation under § 2 shall be provided with a subsistence allowance, including compensation for the earnings which a worker would have achieved during the journey, if the journey by timetable lasts for more than two hours at the rate of 30 CZK and if it lasts more than 10 hours, 60 CZK.
Family support
(1) Family support belongs to workers who are unable to arrive at a permanent residence on a daily basis in connection with campaign work.
(2) Family support belongs to:
(a) to the married (married) and other workers who provide arrangements for their family members, amounting to 12 CZK per calendar day. Family members shall mean, for the purposes of this Order, the spouse, the spouse, the spouse or the stepchild, the parent or stepparent, the adopters and adopters, foster children and foster parents living with a common household worker;
(b) to other staff of 8 Cds per calendar day.
(3) Family support does not belong to calendar days in which the worker does not work for important obstacles to work in which he is not entitled to compensation; However, if the worker is physically secured in accordance with the sickness insurance rules at this time, he shall not be entitled to family support only if he is present at the place of his permanent residence or if he is in constitutional care.
(4) Family support does not apply in days of undeclared absence of work.
Common provisions on fare, subsistence and family support
(1) The performance referred to in paragraphs 2 to 4 shall be provided by the organisation with which the employment contracts have been concluded. (2)
(2) If the employment contract (3) with the worker is concluded by the Regional National Committee on behalf of the organisation, he will pay him the fare and the fare on taking up work. The organisation shall pay the amount paid to the district national committee after the worker has entered into work, where appropriate in the agreed lump sum.
Accommodation
(1) A worker who cannot be requested to return to his place of residence on a daily basis shall be entitled to free accommodation in the hostel of the organisation.
(2) The organisation is responsible for keeping the hostel in good condition and for ensuring adequate and uninterrupted rest and the opportunity to make effective use of leisure time.
Meals
The organisation shall provide all workers with full-time meals in all shifts, in particular in the form of racing meals within the meaning of the applicable regulations. 4)
Training
The organisation will train the workers in theory and practically when they enter work.
Final provisions
(1) The provisions of this decree are without prejudice to other provisions on the obligations of organisations towards workers (e.g. provisions on the provision of work and protective clothing, regulations on safety and health at work, etc.).
(2) The organisation shall inform the staff recruited in due time of the launch of the campaign and of the date of taking up work.
(3) The organisation itself, and, where appropriate, through the National Recruitment Committee referred to in Article 1 (a), shall inform the staff before concluding the contract of employment of the rights and obligations arising from the contract and the working and wage conditions under which the work is to be carried out; on taking up work, the organisation shall inform the workers of the working order, the rules on safety and health at work and shall inform them of all safety facilities of the plant.
The following shall be deleted:
Decree No. 58 / 1959 of the Ministry of Food Industry and Agricultural Products Purchase No. 58 / 1959 Ú. v., laying down the formalities of personnel acquired for the sugar campaign by recruitment of labour unions, health and social security of the Councils of the National Committees.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 July 1979.
