on the issue of coins after 20 pennies and 2 CZK
Minister of Finance of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic declares pursuant to § 3 paragraph 2 of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll.:
§ 1
On 1 October 1972, coins of 20 pennies (hereinafter referred to as "20 pennies') and 2 Cds (hereinafter referred to as" two crowns') shall be put into circulation.
§ 2
(1) 20 halers are rolled from a brass consisting of 79 copper parts, 20 zinc parts and 1 nickel part. The gross weight of the coin is 2,6 g. The diameter of the coin is 19.5 mm, its edge is serrated.
(2) In the case of the stamping of twenty halers, a tolerance up and down is permitted in gross weight 20 / 1000, in zinc and nickel content 10 / 1000.
(3) On the face of the twenty haler is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and in a copy in a circle from the left the inscription "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC." The year of production is indicated under the national emblem below.
(4) On the back of the twenty-haler, the value designation is the big number "20" and the letter "h" below. There's a five-pointed star in the middle of the top. The brand of the author of the coin of the academic sculptor Professor Franz David "D" is placed on the left on the base of the number "20."
§ 3
(1) Two crowns are drawn from copper composed of 80 parts of copper and 20 parts of nickel. The gross weight of the coin is 6 g. The diameter of the coin is 24 mm, its edge is smooth with a repetitive ornament from alternating reclining cross and oval bars.
(2) In the case of a double crown, a tolerance up and down shall be allowed in gross weight of 20 / 1000 and in nickel content of 10 / 1000.
(3) On the face of the double crown is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, around it is a copy from left to circle of the inscription "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC." Under the state emblem there is a stylized lip branch and under it the year of production.
(4) On the reverse of the double crown, in the right part of the denomination of the value is the large number "2" and the abbreviation of the currency unit "Kčs." In the left part there is a sickle, hammer and five-pointed star that surrounds in stylized celebratory ribbons a hint of lime leaf. The author's brand of the academic sculptor Josef "JN" stickers is placed lower left below the symbols of the sickle and hammer.
§ 4
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
