of 29 November 1957
about the new radio and television organization.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the consent of the President of the Republic pursuant to § 1 of the Constitutional Act No. 47 / 1950 Coll., on adaptations in the organisation of public administration:
In view of the increasing importance of radio and television as a means of information and as a means of mobilising workers to deal with the tasks of socialist construction, the Czechoslovak Radio and Television Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee '), as a central body of the government administration in the field of radio and television, and the Slovak Radio and Television Committee (hereinafter referred to as" the Slovak Committee'), is hereby established as a public authority in the field of radio and television for Slovakia.
(1) The Committee shall be composed of the President, his Vice-Presidents and other members.
(2) The President shall be appointed and dismissed by the Government on a proposal from the Minister for Education and Culture; Deputy Presidents and members of the Committee shall be appointed and dismissed by the Minister for Education and Culture on a proposal from the Chairman of the Committee.
The Chairman of the Committee shall be responsible for the activities of the Committee to the Minister for Education and Culture.
(1) From the existing organisation of the Czechoslovak Radio are established the organization of the Czechoslovak Radio and Czechoslovak Television, which are legal persons subordinate to the committee.
(2) The organisation, the scope, the principles of the management and financing of these organisations shall lay down their rules of organisation, to be issued by the Chairman of the Committee in agreement with the Ministry of Finance.
The Committee organises, manages, coordinates and controls the activities of subordinate organisations in an ideologically political, artistic and cultural way, technical and economic way, and manages their common affairs.
The detailed definition of the tasks and powers of the Committee, in particular the interaction between the Committee and the Slovak Committee, shall lay down the statute to be issued by the Government on a proposal from the Minister for Education and Culture.
(1) The Slovak Committee is composed of the President, its Deputy Members and other members. The President shall be appointed and removed by the College of Authorising Officers on a proposal from the School and Culture Officer; Deputy Presidents and members of the Committee shall be appointed and dismissed by the School and Culture Officer on a proposal from the President of the Slovak Committee.
(2) The President of the Slovak Committee is responsible for the activities of the Committee of Education and Culture.
(1) The organisations of the Czechoslovak Radio and Czechoslovak Television have regional directories in Slovakia, which are under the responsibility of the Slovak Committee.
(2) The Slovak Committee organises, manages, coordinates and controls the activities of regional directorates on an ideologically political, artistic and cultural basis, technical and economic basis and provides for their common affairs.
The detailed definition of the tasks and powers of the Slovak Committee shall be laid down in the Statute to be issued by the College of Authors on a proposal from the delegate of education and culture.
The property and liabilities of the Czechoslovak Radio will be transferred by the Committee in agreement with the Ministry of Finance to the newly established organisation.
This Regulation shall take effect from 1 December 1957; they shall be carried out by the Minister for Education and Culture in agreement with participating members of the Government.
