Act on Replacement of Members of the National Assembly

on the replacement of Members of the National Assembly.
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
(1) Members of the National Assembly are entitled, for expenditure related to the exercise of the parliamentary mandate, to compensation of 1200 CZK per month. If a Member of the National Assembly is also a Member of the Slovak National Council, he shall receive only one replacement.
(2) The President of the National Assembly is entitled to a functional salary of 5000 CZK, Vice-Presidents 3300 Kcs per month. The salary shall include the compensation referred to in paragraph 1.
(1) For attending meetings of the National Assembly or its bodies, and for the time needed to travel to and from meetings, Members shall be entitled to a daily diet of 100 CZK.
(2) Members who are employees shall receive compensation for the days referred to in paragraph 1 from their employer at the rate of the average earnings calculated over the last three months. Members who are not in employment (as members of single agricultural cooperatives, privately employed farmers) will receive adequate compensation for the loss of earnings for those days.
(3) Members may use mass means of transport free of charge and also aircraft for trips to meetings of the National Assembly or its bodies and back.
Decree No. 106 / 1945 Coll., on the salaries of members of the Provisional National Assembly, and Act No. 246 / 1948 Coll., on the replacement of Members of the National Assembly, is hereby repealed.
This Law shall take effect on 1 December 1954; it shall be carried out by all members of the Government.
