GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 27 October 2004
delimiting the Birds' area of the Iceberg ponds
The Government orders pursuant to § 45e paragraphs 1 and 2 of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on Nature and Landscape Conservation, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll.:
Subject matter
(1) The birds' zone of the Iceberg ponds (hereinafter referred to as the bird area) is defined.
(2) The object of the protection of the bird area is the populations of the night-time yeast (Nyticorax nycticorax), the geese (Anser anser), the spoonful (Anas clypeata) and the redheads (Netta rufina) and their biotopes.
(3) The purpose of the protection of the birds' area is to preserve and restore ecosystems relevant to birds' species as referred to in paragraph 2 on their natural grounds of enlargement and to ensure conditions for the conservation of the populations of those species in a favourable conservation situation.
Definition of bird area
(1) The bird area is situated in the territory of the South Moravian Region, in the cadastral territories of the Kharvatský Nová Ves, Hlohovec, Refrigerator in Moravia, Sedlec u Mikulov and Valtice.
(2) The territorial demarcation and description of the border of the bird area are set out in Annex 1 to this Regulation; the indicative graphical representation of the bird area is given in Annex 2 to this Regulation.
(3) The map documents of the scale 1: 25 000, in which the territory of the bird region is drawn, are stored in the central list of nature protection1) and in electronic form at the Ministry of the Environment, the Nature Protection Board, the Regional Office of the South Moravian Region and the municipal authorities of the enlarged municipalities in whose administrative district the bird area is located.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.

Territorial demarcation and description of the border of the Birds' area of the Iceberg ponds
The Lednice Pond Area includes a network of ponds on the Pond of Beelins, namely Nesyt, Hlohovecký, Middle and Mlýnský, and in the glacier park located in the Castle pond.
Groundfish
The border of this part of the bird area begins at the north edge of the lake Nesyt (northeast tip of the pond). It crosses the dam in the south direction and leads along the road *) along the eastern bank of the pond first along the northern edge of the Object of the Rybárny and further along the road at the eastern edge of the pond Nesyt to the south, along the field road between the ponds Nesyt and Týpa to the bridge via the Valtice stream. From the point where the border crosses the Valtice stream, it continues along the border of the Valtice and Hlohovec, northwest and then southwest to the road * *) No II / 414 from Valtice to Mikulov. This road leads west. After about 320 m he passes north to the field road, which forms at the same time the border of the cadastres of the villages Valtice and Hlohovec. Following this road it leads roughly northwest towards the southern bank of the Nesyt pond. In the place where they touch the borders of the cadastres of the municipalities of Valtice, Hlohovec and Sedlec u Mikulov continue along the border of the cadastres of the municipalities of Valtice and Sedlec u Mikulov. After about 800 m he leaves the border and along this road he continues in the western direction to the slanisk near the village of Sedlec near Mikulov. From there, it continues west to a watercourse running from the pass at the railway station Sedlec near Mikulov to Nesyt, following the signs of NPR Lednice Pond. From the point where the border is crossed by the water father, the border still follows the marking of the NPR along a line of 190 m across the reed and the vegetation of the trees on the panel path, from the railway station to the village Sedlec and continues along it to the bridge through the stream of Beelínek. From this bridge the border goes downstream along the left bank of the creek and after about 120 meters turns perpendicular to the north and passes to the ground wall leading by shore to the eastern part of the village. After this wall leads to the road at the edge of the village and further along this road it leads in the eastern direction on the southern edge of the village of Sedlec. The border leads to the interface of the coastal area, fungi and gardens to their contact with the field route leading from the agricultural cooperative in Sedleca. Further along this road along the northern edge of the pond, it leads to the irrigation pumping station. Behind the building of the petrol station leaves the road and follows the interface of the coastal soils and fields to the building of the former water poultry breeding plant. At the level of the breeding house the border leads directly to the boundary of the pond, at the end of the fence the building breaks in the north direction and returns to the field path and continues along it to the starting point on the pond dam.
Hlohovecký, Promedium and Mlýnský
The border of this part of the bird area begins at the Hlohovec border castle. Following the unpaved road leads along the northern bank of Hlohovecký pond, at the end it crosses road No II / 422 from Lednice to Valtice and continues along the unpaved road along the north bank of the Promedium pond at the end of which the body of the railway line No 247 Breclav Lednice crosses and leads still after unpaved communication along the north edge of the Mlýnský pond to the III class road from Breclav to Lednice. On its edge it leads in a southeast direction to the easternmost tip of the Mill pond. Here it turns to the southeast and leads along an unpaved road along the eastern and further along the southern bank of the Mlýn pond. On the southern edge of the Milýnský pond dam again crosses the body of the railway line No 247 Břeclav-Refrigerator and crosses the unpaved path, leading along the southern bank of the Promedium Pond, again crosses the road No II / 422 Lednice-Valtice and continues along the unpaved path along the southern bank of the Hlohovecký Pond back to the starting point near the Border Castle.
Castle pond
The border of this part of the bird area begins on the bridge through the Old Dyji on the road No II / 422 Lednice-Weirdo. From the bridge leads the border along the right bank of Staré Dyje along the north edge of the Castle Park area in the eastern and later south direction to the confluence with the Lednice drive Following its left (west) bank the border upstream mostly south-west and eventually west to the bridge below the castle horsemen on the road No II / 422 Lednice-Odlivín. Following this road then the border leads to the north up to the starting point on the bridge through the Old Dyji.
Explanatory notes:
*) If the text of the Annex indicates that the border of the bird's area leads along the way, it is thus stated that it leads along the edge of the route, namely the border facing into the bird's area.
* *) If the text states that the border of the bird's area leads on the road, it is expressed that it leads on the edge of the road auxiliary plot, and that it leads on the edge of the bird's area.
