GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 27 June 1962
on the award of the honorary badge "For the Protection of the Borders of the CSSR"
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic orders, with the consent of the President of the Republic, pursuant to § 7 of Act No. 247 / 1949 Coll., on Honours and Honours, as amended by the statutory measure of the Bureau of the National Assembly No. 14 / 1956 Coll.:
§ 1
The members of the Border Guard and other parts of the Ministry of Interior, the soldiers of the Czech People's Army, the members of the Border Guard and Public Security, as well as other citizens who have been particularly deserving of the protection of state borders, consistently achieve such results as to set an example for others, or who have shown exceptional initiative, dedication or courage, can be shown public recognition by granting the honorary badge "For the protection of the borders of the CSSR."
§ 2
The "Protection of the Borders of the CSSR" badge is awarded by the Minister for the Interior. It shall be transmitted by the Minister for the Interior or by an official authorised by him. At the same time as an honorary badge, a deed of award is given.
§ 3
If the holder of the honorary badge "For the protection of the borders of the CSSR" has committed an act which makes him unworthy of this public recognition, he loses the honorary badge.
§ 4
The Minister of the Interior provides details on the award of the Honorary Badge "For the Protection of the Borders of the CSSR."
§ 5
This Government Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
