on the Customs Convention on the International Carnet of Goods
(TIR Convention)
On 15 January 1959 the Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods under cover of the TIR Carnet (TIR Convention) was negotiated in Geneva.
On 31 August 1961, a Charter was deposited in the United Nations Secretariat on the access of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic to that Customs Convention, subject to the condition that the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic will not be bound by the provisions of paragraphs 2 and 3 of Article 44 of the Convention.
Pursuant to Article 40 thereof, the Convention for the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic entered into force on 29 November 1961.
